A wonderful continuation of the series. Far Cry 5 adjusted a well-known formula enough to make the chase after brilliant antagonists very fun and exciting.

This game allows you to travel a world full of cruelty and injustice. You will get to see interesting characters and live this world through their eyes. One of the best entries in the Far Cry series.

Improving what was already good in the franchise and inserting memorable antagonists, Far Cry 5 delivers a fantastic experience with refined gameplay, chaotic combat and the addition of combat companions that steal the scene at every moment in the game.

Even if we ignore the ridiculous quantity of content, and we focus only on the main storyline, we still get an amazing experience. Far Cry 5 is not the game we actually expected, but it's exactly what we should have wanted in the first place.
While you're not likely to remember its story in a few months' time, and the erratic driving of friendly civilians may frequently alarm you, its gameplay shines and that's what's important. Setting you free in a stunningly realised open world, Far Cry 5 gives you all the tools you need for tens of hours of outrageous fun.
Far Cry 5, while having some issues, such as the janky AI and a rather far-fetched plot, more than makes up for these things with some compelling and truly innovative approaches from Ubisoft. There is a real sense that it put a lot of love back into a series that over the last spin-off and fully-fledged entry was possibly becoming mundane. The world set in the USA presents a real contrast to the tropical paradise settings of all the previous entries. Additionally, the organic approach to missions and narrative advancement mean that Far Cry 5 avoids the 'cleaning up of the map' feel that some previous games have conveyed. The gunplay is smooth and fantastic and the graphics are stunning. Anyone who hasn't played a Far Cry game before needs to get this and any doubters of Ubisoft's ability to deliver a truly great open-world title need to do likewise.
Far Cry 5 is not the game that it pretends to be. Far Cry 5 is also not the game that most reviewers thought it would be. Ubisoft has crafted a brilliant open-world shooter, but the company has also presented a subversive take on the hero's journey that is both engaging and disturbing. Most importantly, it's a game that makes you think, which is something you don't often see.
Far Cry 5 is the height of the series and gives new legs to exploration in open world games while keeping the freeform tools to take down places as you see fit. Welcome to Hope County, you will be here a while.
Brimming with confidence, overflowing with content, and firmly established among the genre’s best, Far Cry 5 stakes early claim as one of the year’s best. You don’t want to miss the sheer insanity of Hope County, Montana.
Far Cry 5 takes the longstanding first-person shooter franchise in a brave and inventive new direction. Gone are the endless waves of cookie cutter, cannon fodder enemies. Gone are the annoyingly larger than life supporting characters; cartoon imbeciles, peddling questionable objectives whilst showing little to no concern for the deathly chaos encircling them. And gone is the irreverent sense of humour that has underpinned recent entries to the series; making way for a more somber tone that appropriately underlines the dark imagery and themes found throughout the subtle and nuanced narrative.
The best thing we can say about Far Cry 5 is that it is one of the most entertaining sandbox survival adventures in the franchise. Montana is a gorgeous slice of new terrain that is fraught with peril and the road ahead that Far Cry Arcade represents is exciting, to say the least. Simply put, the fifth version in Ubisoft’s series of madness, freedom, and exploration is Far Cry perfected.
Far Cry 5 seamlessly fits itself into the franchise. The beautiful open world, an oddly charismatic antagonist and a variety of missions ensure hours of gameplay. Unfortunately, Ubisofts newcomer has a few shortcommings, which show as the game progresses. Re-used character models, searching for sidequests and, most saddening, microtransactions for getting equipment early on, belittle the gaming experience, which can even be enjoiyed in coop. As for tinkerers, Far Cry 5 with its "Arcade" provides a sheer endless amount of maps and quests, which are built by players around the globe or yourself.

Far Cry 5 delivers amazing gaming experience. It's a great game in almost every aspect. The only flaw is that it's not the best Far Cry game I've played.

A believable but no less intense story with tight gameplay set in a notably detailed and beautiful open world. Ubisoft have done an incredible job of refreshing another of their biggest franchises.
Despite a frustrating AI and a strong focus on Online Co-Op/Far Cry Arcade, Far Cry 5 is probably the best Far Cry experience so far. From a intuitive exploration over a varied open world and lots of amusing and crazy moments this game got everything that fans love about the series. It's still open how much long-term motivation the map editor and live events will offer but Far Cry Fans will be entertained for about 15-20 hours.

Hope County is a recipe for riot. With thousands of angry cultists to eliminate, a variety of weapons to use against them and wildlife as temperamental as the enemy, Far Cry 5 is one of the most enjoyable instalments of the franchise yet. Only a slightly sparse story slows things down, but it's not enough to detract from a fantastic open world experience.
Far Cry 5 took me by surprise, it’s as big, beautiful and bizarre as 3 or 4, but Far Cry 5 is refined to create my favourite Far Cry experience to date.
