Conarium Reviews
Conarium's fascinating world is closely based on a Lovecraft story, taking players through ancient tombs abandoned for eons. The adventure puzzles are a bit too simple and its rough edges needed smoothing, but it is still a faithful adaption.
If you are tired of horror games that only have jumpscares and gore, you will love Conarium's eerie atmosphere.

Conarium is a well-crafted slow-paced adventure to dark corners of the Earth. True declaration of love for a legacy of H.P. Loveсraft.

Conarium overall captures the mood of Lovecraft, if not the more extreme bizarreness present in his stranger stories. If you want a game that plays like a Lovecraft story, Conarium is probably the most accurate, accessible option available.
I never truly felt scared or even at unease while playing Conarium. That’s perhaps the biggest disappointment that coloured my rather negative review of the game: It never succeeded at making me feel anything. The Literature inside the game somewhat does the source material justice, but it’s a short experience with its ~3 hours runtime that left me wondering what could have been.
Conarium is a successful, playable H.P. Lovecraft story. The game can be mastered without major problems, but doesn't rely on hard head shots in gameplay and puzzles. Conarium is a classic point & click adventure with a playing time of about four to five hours, which convinces by its atmospheric implementation.

A Lovecraft story, in a modern setting, and it is a remarkable journey. It has its issues here and there, but the overall experience is great. What's not to delve into unknown terrors?
The exploration of one's gradual slip into insanity and the experience of otherworldly isolation is palpable and well-executed, but anyone who isn't a fan of the source material will likely grow tired of Conarium's lack of anything new and innovative to the horror genre.
Conarium manages to remain faithful to the legendary worldview of H. P. Lovecraft, although it shares the same problems and weaknesses in transferring the original material.

Remarkably then, even through disappointing attempts at horror and puzzling, Conarium is just about compelling enough to warrant seeing through to the end. It’s not particularly mind-blowing from a narrative perspective, but it is engrossing and satisfying. If only it pushed harder for a sense of dread and terror, or even simply provided more of a challenge, then we’d be talking about something that truly stands out as a thoughtful, engaging horror game.
Conarium is another great contribution to the already numerous family of Lovecraft games. The fans of horror adventure games should be unequivocally satisfied and everyone else should at least have an ideal opportunity to try the genre.

Conarium is a game that has its own way to structure the high tension. It's clear that most of the dark atmospheres are products of our imagination, while we clarify the purpose of this expedition. The locations are able to shape pictures out of thoughts and premonitions. Better puzzles and a more complex inventory, would have made this game a complete product. Anyway, Conarium has the right to join that group of video games that honour the "lovecraft" style, that style able to create an incomparable horror genre, thanks to its genius and madness.

We are before a great adventure that manages to capture, and capture, excellently the universe and mythology of Lovecraft. A game of exploration, that although it is something simple, we put the fear in the body on more than one occasion and that thanks to its ridiculous price, € 19'90, it becomes a great temptation to spend time between triple A and Triple A.

Conarium is a short game which will only take you a few hours to complete. You can go back if your a completionist but there’s just not enough to make me want to play through it again.
Conarium is a truly atmospheric Lovecraftian adventure game which represents the genre perfectly. Set mainly after the novella “At the Mountains of Madness”, the events that happened prior unfold as our protagonist learns of them at the same time we do through many documents and visions which are both disturbing and informative. As an adventure game, expect a lot of walking around and puzzles to solve, with a small ‘run and hide’ segment, yet the gameplay never drags as it remains suspenseful and exciting throughout the whole experience.
