Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 Reviews
Legacy Collection 2, while imperfect, provides a suitable direction to follow four mainline Mega Man games across modern hardware.
Mighty No. 9 was disappointing, but real Mega Man returned. It still is tough to beat, although with it comes great satisfaction.

For the pure cool factor of having the last four numbered games from the original Mega Man's career in one set on a current machine, Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 is absolutely a must buy.
This collection is without a doubt the best way to play any of these four games legally without spending too much money.
Series fans will find a lot to enjoy with these Collections, even though the games have aged worse than they may remember. Newcomers, on the other hand, may be left wondering what the big deal was with these games to begin with.
The Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 is a great re-release of the seventh through tenth entries, but it could have been much more, and it feels a little cynical that it's not. While there are the four games, the boss rushes and other challenges to be completed, this entry just leaves the impression that there should have been 'more' of everything.
And, again, it's a shame that there aren't any bonus games included that could round out the selection. As it stands, this is not a strong collection of Mega Man games compared to the first. If you want all the Mega Man games on your Switch, you'll obviously need this volume, but if you don't feel that need, you might skip this one.
Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 is a continuation of the love letter Capcom put together for fans of the franchise.
The games included in Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 might not be the best in the series, but they're still fun as hell. Little to no extras and the fact that this is not a proper collection will draw back most of the players, but true Mega Man fans cannot refuse the chance of acquiring Mega Man 9 and Megan Man 10 in their first physical release.

A good compilation of four great games. It's a shame that the games included are the original ones, and not enhanced versions.

Especially next to the first Mega Man Legacy Collection's six games and nicer save system, The Mega Man Legacy Collection 2's package of four included games is ultimately a step backward. While the games are mostly good, none of them top Mega Man 2 or 3 -- and for the record, I think 3 is the best. 8, 9, and 10 are worth revisiting for a dose of retro platforming challenge, but know what you're up against going in.
Capcom collects the Blue Bomber's post-NES career into another handy, albeit somewhat lackluster, Mega Man Legacy Collection.
Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 offers four reasonably decent games for the price of one, but none of them really have any nostalgic value and so their obvious flaws become all the more apparent as a result.
Capcom's second collection of Mega Man games mostly showcases a series in its death throes.
Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 is a very underwhelming collection and the games included aren’t great.
Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 reminds us why the Blue Bomber fell in the nineties. With only four titles included, the compilation runs short, especially when compared to the first one. Only hardcore fans will enjoy its many bonuses and challenges.

Strictly as a collection of hard-to-find games, Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 is largely okay, but from a gameplay point of view these games simply do not stack up to modern conventions in the slightest. Even the "modern" 9 and 10 go back to when the series was at its worst. The lack of dashing, wall slides, and anything to reduce the annoyance of edges, and "trial and error" style gameplay, all serve to remind of the progress the genre has made. As a historical piece, this compilation is interesting, but for any sort of recommendation, this does not get it - even from a fan of the series.
The saving grace of Legacy Collection 2 comes in the forms of Mega Man 9 and 10.
