Quality Marvel games are few and far between (unless you're into fighting games like Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3), so Marvel Heroes Omega is a godsend. The gameplay isn't that much different from other games in the genre, but the addition of dozens of Marvel heroes and villains adds tons of appeal for True Believers like yours truly.
Marvel Heroes Omega is a toweringly enjoyable marriage of dungeon crawling and superhero action that deserves to be embraced by both fans of Diablo and Marvel alike.
Don't let the Marvel lore scare you away. I know several people that went in knowing just the basics and they still end up having a great time.
Action, adventure, variety — those looking for a decent Ultimate Alliance fix need look no further than Marvel Heroes Omega. It's great.
Marvel Heroes Omega is a mediocre hack'n'slash for Marvel comics fans. In terms of endgame and co-op the game is lacking, but leveling each character makes a pretty fun experience. Play for a while and give i tup, because as a MMO game, it lacks depth.

A large roster of characters and the lure of addictive looting are not enough to salvage Marvel Heroes Omega from a number of significant issues.
Marvel Heroes Omega is an interesting game overall, giving players many characters to choose from as they play through an adventure spanning multiple areas and facing plenty well-known Marvel enemies. The controls are easy to pick up and although it can be a bit of a grind as you level up and collect loot, there are tons to sort through and it can be easy to get drawn in to the game for hours at a time.
That said, it’s worth remembering that Marvel Heroes Omega is free and if you love Marvel then I have to say you should give it a try. Once you buy into the grind and ignore the issues, it’s pretty fun to have a little go on here and there.
All in all, Marvel Heroes Omega is a great example a free-to-play game done right. It's a shameless homage to Diablo with some great Marvel flair. The core gameplay is fun, and the free-to-play mechanics are largely unobtrusive. Some annoyances with the user interface and introduction to general mechanics drag down the game, but they're nothing too serious. Marvel fans or those looking for a fun action-RPG will be hard-pressed to find a better experience than Omega.
Is Omega Heroes something especially new and exciting? No. But familiar and fun proves to be just as great.
Gazillion have created a massive, content filled free-to-play Marvel MMO that can become repetitive if played alone and unbalanced if played on an overpopulated hub or when using XP boosts. Still, the game is great fun with friends when playing through the non-hub areas that's let down by some visual slowdown when the screen gets congested and some uninspired storytelling techniques.
Marvel Heroes Omega is definitely a free to play game worth your time providing a solid experience and one that's enjoyable to play.
