The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Reviews
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on next-gen consoles is the best way to discover or re-discover one of the most celebrated RPGs of the last decade.
A big, beautiful, sprawling action RPG full of rich stories, and suffused with an oppressive darkness.
Massive in size, and meticulously detailed, The Witcher 3 ends Geralt's story on a high note.
'The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt' is far from perfect, but despite its flaws, Geralt's final adventure is 2015's strongest candidate for Game of the Year so far.
It will last you months, yet not waste your time. Above all, it has a vivid, enduring personality, something that is exceedingly rare among its breed of mega-budget open-world epics (and that will probably be rarer still once Hideo Kojima and Konami part ways later this year). For my money, it's the greatest role-playing game in years.
Sloppy combat and ongoing optimisation can't quite spoil this dark fantasy adventure, set in a stunning world of blood and black magic.
With superb storytelling, challenging combat, exciting choices, and unpredictable consequences, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is a must-play RPG
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is still one of the best games ever made.
The next-gen upgrade is going to make that available for more people, and I’m excited for that. But it did leave me with a melancholy feeling about where we’ve been and, given the future of The Witcher franchise, where a post-Cyberpunk Witcher game might go. I hope CD Projekt Red’s 2015 RPG, rather than the one it released in 2020, is the foundation that’s built upon.
The Witcher 3 is a great game — with some major qualifications
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is one of the best games ever made.
A hell of a way to spend a few days of your life.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Complete Edition takes a nearly-perfect game and makes it better.
2015's largest game to date is its best so far, as the marriage of seemingly endless open-world content and engaging storytelling make The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt a superlative experience. From rounds of the in-game card game Gwent to its robust crafting and alchemy systems, those who are looking for the all of the minutia that comes from a deep western role-playing experience will find it here in droves.
It's a flawed masterpiece, but make no mistake, it absolutely is a masterpiece – one of the best RPGs ever created, and a true tribute to Sapkowski's stories.
Playing The Witcher 3 with an eye for grand strategy can be both a densely engrossing and mechanically frustrating, overlong adventure. When played one move at a time, however, Wild Hunt is the supreme alchemical distillation of the role-playing experience. It's a bleakly human play at the heart of a dark fantasy.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt next-gen update makes a great game even better, improving practically every element of the much loved game.
The Witcher 3 is vast, intriguing, and enthralling.
A unique experience that cannot be missed, becoming a must for lovers of role-playing and swashbuckling games. We will miss you, Geralt.

While I ride, fight, smile, cry and love as Geralt of Rivia, I'm happy to be a gamer. I truly am.
