Fire Emblem Warriors is a game for those who are first fans of Fire Emblem, strategy games and button masters in which you find satisfaction distributing sword blows among hundreds of enemies.

The interesting usage of all the aspects from the tactical RPG series certainly added to some freshness to the standard Musou formula, and it was great to see a lot of the characters given the high-definition treatment and the interactions between them are sure to please a lot of fans.

Just like Hyrule Warriors before it, Fire Emblem Warriors is another decent Musou game that feels worthy of the big Nintendo brand in its name - but with cheesy characters and dialogue and an unwelcome focus on the more recent FE games, Omega Force missed the chance to make it a standout title on Nintendo's new console.

If you have a Switch and want this game, then it's really hard to find you a good reason to purchase this over the Switch version. I couldn't give you a single reason why, given the choice, you would ever side with the 3DS version, unless maybe you really love having a map on the second screen. It is of course always going to play second fiddle to it's more powerful comrade, naturally, but if you focus on pure gameplay then they are virtually identical, so don't think you're being short-changed if you only have a 3DS to play it on. It's a game, like Hyrule Warriors, that isn't for everyone, but those that enjoyed that game are going to have tons of fun with this title too. There is still life yet left in Nintendo's everlasting handheld.

A complete disappointment. Fire Emblem Warriors is by far the weakest Fire Emblem game to date.

One of the best Warriors games thanks to a good variety of characters with cool and visually impressive movesets. The classic Fire Emblem Warriors mechanics match perfectly with the Warriors formula, adding challenge and strategy to the mix. Sadly the game lacks iconic character from many games including fan favourites Roy and Ike.

Best gameplay in the series, running side by side with the fresh story of the possible, in this whole Fire Emblem Warriors. The game was not lucky to leave in one month with Mario Odyssey, which she passed in the shadow of big releases. Therefore, if You are not worried about trite and predictable plot, then You will be able to have a great time, marveling at how deep may be the mechanics of Warriors, she only needs to take the right direction!

Fire Emblem Warriors uses some of the least interesting characters in the series and somehow creates some of the most fun I've had all year.

Even though Fire Emblem Warriors is filled with great characters and Fire Emblem elements, it's more Warriors than it is Fire Emblem.

It's a very cinematic and story driven Warriors game like the original Fire Emblem games always were. With its great cast of characters and a lot of missions to master this is definitely a must have for Switch owners!

Fire Emblem Warriors offers a plethora of content and the overall experience is fantastic. There are some aspects that fails to live up to what was done in Hyrule Warriors but there are also some mechanics that are better. This game does more right than wrong and the amount of fanservice for both the Fire Emblem fans and those who love the Warriors series shows that care and love went into the coding of this game. I do wish we would have gotten some more characters from older Fire Emblem games and I do wish the story had some deeper meaning and/or player connection but the characters available all are fantastic to play with and they are all diverse in how they attack and how they play. In its debut year, the Switch has racked up a healthy list of games which many of them are must own. It makes me happy to be able to add this Fire Emblem Warriors game to that list. From the massive amounts of unlockables to its customization and to its deep combat, this may be Omega Force and Team Ninja’s best Warriors game to date and they should be applauded for being about to continue the innovation of their franchise and avoid it from becoming stale.

Being a big fan of Omega Force and the fact that they've made Hyrule Warriors (and all the rest of the core and spinoff series) I had high expectations for their take on Fire Emblem. Now while I came away pleased with the experience I wasn't wowed like I've been in the cases of Hyrule, Berserk, Arslan or Dragon Quest. Unfortunately in this case Fire Emblem plays it a bit safe and Warriors feels like a faster take on the ideas implemented by Heroes on the mobile.

This is a decent spin on the musou game formula, and some elements from each respective series blend quite well together. If you’re in the mood to carve up hundreds of Pegasus knights while jamming out to the main theme of Fire Emblem this is the game for you. That being said, if you’re looking for the older games to get any screen time or relevance you will have to look elsewhere.

While the story isn’t as tight as you’d expect from a major Fire Emblem game the over the top shonen style battles and mixed cast definitely put together a fine show. I can definitely suggest the game to any fan of either series.

Fire Emblem Warriors may not fully please hardcore fans but it’s great for those new to the series. And while it may not be perfect in its execution, the charming cast, addictive gameplay and various modes, is reason enough to sink plenty of hours into this game.

Fire Emblem Warriors offers a solid hack and slay expierence and performance on the New 3DS. Even if the story won't surprise you that much, the solid cast of the series will. The mix between these two very different genres is well made and fans from both sides will get great time out of it.

Easy to play with a satisfying, if over-simplistic, battle system but Fire Emblem Warriors does a good job of balancing a game that can be played by newcomers to Dynasty Warriors-style games, veterans of Fire Emblem or newcomers to both.
