Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition Reviews
It's taken close to two years, but Street Fighter V finally resembles the game that it should have been from the start thanks to Arcade Edition. Newcomers can rest assured that there's now enough single player content to keep casual players happy, and at its core, the actual fighting remains top class. There's a cynical part of us that says Arcade Edition is little more than a glorified season three update, but the simple truth is that there's never been a better time to jump in.
While it's taken us nearly two years to get to the point where Street Fighter V probably should have been soon after it launched, in a way, seeing the game grow into what it's become in Arcade Edition almost makes the experience just that much sweeter. The core of Capcom's latest Street Fighter entry has always been great, but now, everything surrounding that core has finally reached an equal level of quality.
Arcade Edition is a breath of fresh air for Street Fighter 5, which is finally the game it should have been at launch.
Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition manages to add depth to the game, that can bring new players to the franchise while giving old players even more complexity.

Updated and expanded, Street Fighter is fully fighting fit again – and the result is a must-play title.
Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition is simply a fantastic fighter.
A variety of offline modes, a fresh coat of paint, and a big new gameplay addition gives Street Fighter V a new lease on life.
Long story short, Street Fighter V was never a bad game, just a lacking game, which Arcade Edition corrects.
We have a gorgeous game with fantastic fighting gameplay complimented by a solid roster with a variety of satisfying modes. Better late than never?
The Arcade Edition added features give it a lot of meat for sure, but the irony is most of it is ultimately filler to the core gameplay experience that was first available in 2016. This leaves Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition in a curious middle ground of being an excellent niche product, but only a “good” video game.
Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition is about as damn near to a perfect fighter game as you can get.
Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition is getting much closer to the throne and it's becoming the best entry in the series. The quality is high and the future is bright in this one!

It took two troubled years, but Street Fighter V is finally where it should be with the Arcade Edition update. If you haven't gotten round to it yet, there's never been a better time to tackle this true king of the fighters.
Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition has reignited my love for the franchise, and the future of SFV shines even brighter.
It’s not the deluxe edition that people were hoping for and doesn’t entirely fix any of the problems present from the vanilla version. It could’ve been amazing, but it just falls short of a great comeback.
After two years, Capcom has finally delivered on what they set out to do the first time they released Street Fighter 5, the created a fast, fun and featured-rich fighting game, with a large roster, new modes, and crazy combos.
It's taken Capcom just under two years to finally deliver the definitive Street Fighter V experience but I'm so happy they continued to support the game and released this version, especially seeing as it's free to all current owners of the base game. If you are new to the genre and want to start slow, there is now a full, meaty single player and an arcade mode for you to both practice and progress though.
