Critic Reviews for Apex Construct
Apex Construct is a first person adventure which makes great use of bow and arrow mechanics, and feels truly immersive in VR, but we found some control problems due to the unusual rotation system, based in a combination of pressing buttons and movement control.

Even with the occasional boneheaded design choice, there's still so much that Apex Construct does right. The absorbing level design, outstanding voice acting, and competitive combat all prove to be fantastic uses of PlayStation VR. Ultimately, the game feels like a very promising glimpse into the potential future of the platform. Even with its wrinkles, this adventure exemplifies what VR experiences could be on PlayStation.
The concept of a world inhabited by robots looks attractive on paper, though in Apex Construct it is far from Horizon: Zero Dawn not only in terms of graphics, but also in terms of the story, characters and environment. This game reminded us about low-budget projects released 10 years ago.

Though not without its faults, Apex Construct offers up an attractive, cleverly constructed and well crafted marriage of action and puzzle solving elements that demands your attention.
While technically competent and armed with a good story to tell, Apex Construct doesn't provide a compelling reason to keep going after the first few levels. A couple of upgrades to your single weapon appear, but the primary increase in challenge is simply more of the same.
Apex Construct has an interesting set up and some great visuals, but falls apart quickly thanks to poor gameplay, frustrating systems, many glitches, and a story that goes nowhere.
Apex Construct provides some excellent exploration and exposition in a compelling and beautifully bizarre world. While there is a fully-baked experience here, the engaging story and compelling gameplay is marred by PSVR's limited control scheme. It represents a step forward for the platform, and for storytelling, but a bit of polishing or patching would bring the controls to heel.
Apex Construct is an unplayable VR mess that lasts for a couple of hours. If you are masochist, you can try it, but you will probably fell asleep due to reading walls of text.
