Overall, Burnout Paradise Remastered on the Nintendo Switch is a very good game. It has everything that you need from an open world racer in terms of gameplay, and while some of the systems are dated, you’ll barely noticed them once you’ve experienced the driving.

Burnout Paradise Remastered is a lacklustre take on one of last-generation's most beloved titles.

Burnout Paradise Remastered does not change the formula too much from what players will remember from the original, which is good news all around, despite missing the opportunity to insert a couple of quality of life improvements.

Despite its age, Burnout Paradise Remastered remains an absolute classic in the racing game genre.

Overall Burnout Paradise Remastered is a solid game and an even more solid Switch port. If you like driving games and that’s all you really need, driving in Burnout feels really good regardless of what kind of car you’re using (my personal favorite was speed types). Those looking for a bit more than just the endless grind of races and stunts might still find themselves having fun for at least a couple hours, and even though you don’t actually interact with it at all Paradise City is still an interesting and varied setting to roll around in. If that sounds like your thing I can happily recommend this game on the Switch.

10 years after of his original release, Burnout Paradise Remastered shows how must be an arcade car game. Emotion, accion, crashes, speed but above all, incredible fun. Forget the borings cities, it's time to drive in a jungle full of activities and adrenaline' challenges.

In a nutshell, Burnout Paradise Remastered is just that, a remastered version of a series favorite. It has a little bit of something for everyone including fast paced races and miles worth of mayhem. The graphics are a huge improvement, the controls are intuitive and the cars handle great. Criterion nailed this remaster.

My few complaints with Burnout Paradise Remastered are minor. They're mostly about the beginning, when you need to learn the way it functions, and the very end, when repetition may start to wear you down. It's both good and bad because nobody wants to play a game that's too easy to master or too difficult to learn. The pride and joy is in the chaotic driving that resembles a realistic world but doesn't sacrifice the fun that comes with doing a 50-foot-high barrel role through a big red billboard. If you have extremely fond memories of joyriding in Paradise City, there's nothing more you can ask for in Burnout Paradise Remastered. The improvements are generous, but after 10 years, the core that everyone loves is still structurally sound. It's good to see great games being revived and made available for today's platforms.

Burnout Paradise is back to entertain players. Not totally refurbished but still very enjoyable. Speed monsters should not miss.

On the strength of its gameplay, combined with the general lack of racing games for PS4, it's also now the best game in the genre that you can own on this platform, if barely.

Burnout Paradise was one of the best racing games in the last generation and seemed like a title beyond its time. The remastered version still offers a game that has aged very well after 10 years and it has all the DLCs included. The only problem is that it's the same game with no new features, except graphics with better resolution. It is worth replaying it for nostalgia. If you have never played it, the time is now.

Ten years after the original game, Burnout Paradise Remastered sends you back to the Paradise City thanks to a great porting by Stellar Entertainment, that allows you to enjoy the freedom of Criterion's racing in the 4K resolution. Unfortunately, some of the core gameplay features start to feel old if compared to much modern games such as Forza Horizon or the upcoming The Crew 2, but if you can accept those compromises you will find in this Remastered edition a great racing game to play along with your friends.

A simple remaster that focuses on delivering an experience that closely replicates the original. It is purely for fans of the Burnout series although newcomers who are interested can also give it a chance.

Burnout Paradise Remastered for the Switch is a solid game. However, being an expensive port of a much cheaper game on other platforms, it’s the best selling point is the fact that you can play this game on the go with no frame rate issues. Which is to say that it also handles pretty well on docked mode. It may not be full HD, but when it runs smoothly as it does, I don’t mind it running at just 720p 60fps.

Burnout Paradise Remastered brings all the glory of the original game, most of the downloadable contents, and adds additional graphical effects and upscaled resolution (for consoles, that is). Paradise City gives you the adrenaline you deserve, letting you crash cars and race whenever you want to. It’s speedy and thrilling and will make you wonder how it came out for the previous generation of consoles when it’s obviously a game made from the future (which is today).

Even if you already own and perhaps mastered Burnout Paradise, this Remastered version is worth getting just to experience the near-perfect racing thrills all over again on your current generation console.

Criterion Games’ classic looks, sounds, and plays the same as it did 12 years ago. Despite the missed opportunities to improve quality of life, and its rather jaw-dropping price, Burnout Paradise: Remastered is a must-have for any Switch system… when there’s a sale happening.

The game has never felt as fun, freeing, and fulfilling as it does in the palm of your hands. It just works in a way it never has before and while it doesn’t look as stunning as it’s competitors, it’s hard not to spend a few minutes with Burnout Paradise on Switch and think to yourself that this is the definitive way to play.

For its freedom and genuine arcade experience, therefore, Burnout Paradise Remastered deserves the recommendation as one of the most opportune conversions of the last generation, albeit late, and a beautiful addition to the growing library of racing games on the Switch.

Burnout Paradise Remastered is fueled by its over-the-top arcade systems that consistently reward the player no matter how they tackle the races. This ease of access makes it a must-play, even to those who aren’t too familiar with the genre. Luckily for long time fans, the game has aged well over the years and still retains it’s core features on the Switch.
