Pathologic 2 Reviews
I thought I would enjoy Pathologic 2, but its needlessly mundane and cruel systems take too much away from its otherwise interesting and strange world.
Just stay alive!
We are facing a hard, difficult and often frustrating game, but one that has an atmosphere like few others and that the difficulty options will allow it to reach a wider audience. However, poor console performance tarnishes an experience that could have been almost outstanding.

Pathologic 2 is a narrative-driven thriller that doesn't really care if you have a good time or not. Prepare to be eternally hungry.
Pathologic 2 is a narrative triumph, but atrocious combat gets in the way.
Pathologic 2 presents a weird, engaging, and wholly unique world to uncover and explore, but makes the act of playing it a clunky and laborious chore.
Underneath it all, Pathologic 2 is an engaging and disquieting game, one that has the potential to be something really quite special. But its survival mechanics are unnecessarily suffocating and take much of the joy out of it. Until Pathologic 2 is cured of that particular problem, be prepared for an uneven slog.
Strange and depressive fight against a devastating plague is not sattisfaction for everyone.

Pathologic 2 offers a hauntingly bleak tale, then does its best to stop you from experiencing it.
Pathologic 2 is the ultimate acquired taste - unforgiving, byzantine, and eye-opening.
Pathologic 2 is a game that will appeal to a very particular type of player, and be despised by everyone else. Those on the fence should scope out the game on either YouTube or Twitch to know what you are getting into.
Pathologic 2 does a fine job of capturing the feelings of a town under distress, though it can feel like a painful chore to play with technical glitches and loading times hindering the experience overall.
Pathologic 2 is an experience, I’ll give it that. But not one I wish to spend any further time in. It’s just far too dull and painful. The most telling thing of all? I fell asleep playing. Pathologic 2 is out now for most systems, and just this month on PS4. If you are absolutely desperate for some contagion related entertainment, you can do a lot better than this.
Pathologic 2 is an interesting game that's flawed by poor use of its mechanics and boring gameplay loop. The story would be definitely worth exploring if it weren't for the terrible optimization and constant loading screens.

Pathologic 2 deconstructs the player/game dichotomy even as it celebrates how affecting that relationship can be. It is rich and dense and uncompromising. That it exists at all is an anomaly, but one I can only hope doesn’t stay that way.
Pathologic 2’s outstanding story and thought-provoking journey suffer from outdated execution.
At its heart, Pathologic 2 is a frustrating game. Ten times more interesting than your average immersive sim (probably the genre it belongs), yet hundreds of times less inviting.
Sometimes mockingly difficult, sometimes archaic, full of charm (both negative and positive), extremely atmospheric and very deep, Pathologic 2 can be included in the compulsory program on acquaintance with games as art objects. It is the only one. Now in two faces.
