Nintendo's first foray into health-gaming, Wii Fit, was a pretty bold move.

Ring Fit Adventure copes with its sports task perfectly! It can be treated like a game, but it's more of a universal motivator for an active lifestyle, awakening your body in a fun way to play. The project can serve as a kind of push to buy a gym membership and make you go for a run more often. If you are already engaged in physical activity, it will be able to diversify your program for a while and definitely cheer you up.

Overall a great idea executed really well, the idea of using gamification and turn based role-playing game mechanics is genius.

Ring Fit Adventure hits the sweet spot for an exercise title. There's enough depth to the RPG elements to keep you coming back day-in, day-out, without ever becoming so inaccessibly deep as to put anyone who's never touched Skyrim.

Ring Fit Adventure is the perfect gamification of exercise, but above all, it offers a fun experience.

Ring Fit Adventure isn't for everybody, but for Gym-a-phobes looking to add a bit of activity to their lives, it's a far better attempt at the gamification of fitness than Wii Fit ever was.

Ring Fit Adventure is unusual, strange, fun, well-structured and something which only Nintendo could have come up with. What could very well be a no-frills fitness app is actually a fully-fledged game with all the right ingredients and which can get the player to enjoy physical exercise, all while fulfilling the requirements to be an enjoyable game.

With its very efficient Ring-Con and a funny RPG game, Ring fit Adventure is a brilliant way to workout without even noticing it. If there is motivation, and a lot of space, you'll be able to do what you want to, at your own pace, with a few smiles. A very pleasant successor to Wii Fit, indeed.

As someone who spent their entire life being extremely athletic and active, I love being back in the swing of things again. I actually look forward to my Ring Fit workout everyday. I feel like people of all fitness levels can hop into this game and benefit from it. When I started this back in January I was as out of shape as it comes, and Ring Fit Adventure eased me back into things at a pace that felt comfortable. The combination of walking, Ring Fit, and elliptical has shredded pounds off of me, and I couldn't be happier about that!

The RPG element has been overblown, but it provides just enough incentive for you to get up and move. More importantly, it's engaging enough to keep you on top of it well after you'd've lost interest in other exercise apps. The Ring-Con itself is a quality accessory that's easy to use, and the whole package provides mostly accurate readings and feedback.

The developers of Ring Fit Adventure have really thought outside the square and have delivered an enjoyable yet interesting fitness game that actually works. It's not clichéd or forced like some other console fitness games but one that uses the Ring to truly immerse you into the game that tracks your movement and in essence, turns it into real-world exercises… but more enjoyable! It's gaming meets exercising!

The best compliment that I can give Ring Fit Adventure is that it’s a video game that features exercise, instead of an exercise program disguised as a video game.
