Football Manager 2020 Reviews
Still addictively enormous, but more open to newcomers than ever, FM 2020 is a brilliant update to a brilliant series.
Another superb entry that feels tailor-made for the series' most dedicated players.
Football Manager 2020 continues the series' winning formula, but there's still plenty of aspects that need work alongside overpowered tactics and methods to win games.
Surprisingly accessible considering the depth of management on offer. Football Manager 2020 delights in almost every way. Prepare to be sucked in once again.
It isn’t visionary, but its fresh approach and tweaks are enough to make it worth your time.
Football Manager 2020 brings together all the little changes made in the last two years taking everything to a brand new level of depth and accuracy. The management part of the game is quite perfect, crystal clear and the new club vision system works really great. On the pitch the situation is still changing and if the idea of the extreme fluidity of modules and tactics is excellent, Sports Interactive needs to balance the situation with a couple of patches. The potential is huge, but to see it fulfilled for real we need to wait the winter transfer window.

A sizeable improvement on last year's already excellent game, with major changes and minor tweaks that will delight veteran players and encourage newcomers.
You may notice that this review of Football Manager 2020 is coming rather late.
Football Manager 2020 introduces big changes that will drastically change long-term playthroughs, with some quality of life improvements as well.
Football Manager 2020 is another Sports Interactive title packaged to the smallest detail, almost perfect and optimized in all aspects. However, its structure is starting to need updating.

Football Manager 2020 is the purest, most engrossing and also the most accessible football management game yet and marks yet another high point for the series. From improved accessibility and usability to improved AI and long-term gameplay functions in new features like the development centre & club vision, this is a game that takes a longer more realistic look at the beautiful game than any before it. Slight issues still prevail, but this is the closest to perfect the series has ever been.
It won't convert a casual fan of the sport into a rabid follower of the series, but it is one that will take anyone who wanted to live the fantasy of managing a football club and give them every opportunity to find their heart's content.
Football Manager 2020 is a pure gem with some great new features that clearly enhance the whole experience. It's far from perfect, but Sports Interactive has found great ways to welcome a larger audience in a game that is, again, not to miss if you're a fan of the franchise and/or a football lover.

It looks as much of an iterative update as any FM game, but the added finesse of the new match engine, and the extra depth to the club staffing dynamics and development, make this the best version of the game yet. Get past the overly familiar visuals and you'll find more reasons to keep on managing.Dave James
Sports Interactive has made Football Manager new again, without breaking what already made it so delightful. It's more of the same, only newer.
Football Manager 2020 manages to improve upon last years outing in enough areas to justify an upgrade for owners for FM 2019 or before. However, I do feel it's getting closer to the point where a marquee feature will need to be introduced or an existing one improved dramatically such as the 3D match engine.
In the end, I think you will struggle to find a better representation of the sport of soccer.
Football Manager is the special dessert only for hardcore football gamers. But it is a pity that some bugs and problems remain unfixed for a really long time.

Sir Miles Jacobson and his team did it again: Football Manager 2020 is one of the best episodes in recent years, thanks to some polishing and the inclusion of long-term planning, which adds replayability and depth to an already great sim.

Football Manager is still the ultimate football simulation series, and this latest addition makes enough positive changes to keep the gameplay fresh, and improve on some of the minor frustrations of previous entries. With a better UI, enhanced match engine, and some high-quality decisions around player motivations, it is easier than ever to get sucked into hundreds of hours of addictive gameplay. Football Manager 2020 is the perfect game for spending long days in quarantine, as the time will fly by.
