Granblue Fantasy: Versus is a top-quality fighting game. It looks great and has carved out its own niche, introducing a style of gameplay that is both familiar and very new. The varied cast of characters and fun RPG mode enhance what is an already excellent package. A great game both for less experienced fighting game players who are interested in the genre, and an essential for those looking to conquer yet another game in ranked mode.
As the west's first peek into the Granblue universe's gaming side, Granblue Fantasy Versus is a fighter that can stand alongside its peers in terms of depth, but in addition offers a simplistic control scheme that even those less familiar to the genre can get to grips with quickly and easily. RPG mode is a unique way to to learn the basics of fighting, even if this and other modes could have been a bit more fleshed out.
Granblue Fantasy Versus is some of the most fun I've had with a fighting game in a long time, and one I'd recommend players with varying skill levels.
Arc System Works have only continued to hone their craft and have offered this stunning, smooth and fast-paced fighter as a testament to that. I don’t think it’ll have as big an audience as other genre mainstays, but if you’re a fan of Guilty Gear or Dragonball FighterZ, this is well worth checking out.
Granblue Fantasy: Versus is the entrance of this magnificent universe to the west with a more than outstanding fighting game. You will be interested in whether you are attracted by its aesthetics or if you are a fan of the fighting genre.

Although it is a franchise little recognized in the West, its history, characters and above all gameplay will certainly bring this title to the fore and to competitive stages. There's a lot of room for Granblue Fantasy: Versus to grow from here. There are a lot more characters that can be brought into the game, and many more stories that can be told through that RPG mode. As it is, however, this is a remarkably beautiful and intelligently-structured fighting game, which does justice to the source material and offers a stunning foundation for what might come into the future.

Granblue Fantasy Versus is the new fighting game from Arc System Works that is beautifully basic at first glance but has a lot hidden under the hood. Highly recommended for the fighting game fan, both casual and veterans a like.

Granblue Fantasy: Versus is intended to aim at the hardcore fighting game community but includes variety of single player content which borrows features from a role-playing game standpoint - ability system - to welcome those gamers who may be new to the fighting games scene. These type of single player content allows the learning curve of the fighting game system to be much more linear and straight forward so for the gamers who always wanted to know how great fun a fighting game title could be, this is a one and only opportunity to play a well made fighter.

Granblue Fantasy Versus is a fantastic game and an early pick for fighting game of the year.
I have to say Granblue Fantasy: Versus exceeded my expectations by miles. There is a great amount of single player content. RPG Mode is a ton of fun. The story is pretty basic but it’s fun for old players to see some of their favorites in a new adventure and a great introduction for new players. The gameplay is easy enough for anyone to pick up on and deep enough for advance players to still have fun with. This game is just simply a lot of fun. If you have a passing interest in Granblue Fantasy you should pick this up. If you’re a fan of fighting games looking for something different I think you will find a lot to love here as well!
