Kraken Academy!! takes a dive into the bizarre, but even if the humor doesn't click for you it's a fun outing with some easy puzzles and odd characters.
I wouldn't necessarily call it a 'good' game in the sense of it having deep mechanics, but for what it tries to emulate, Bloodwash offers the best form of horror entertainment this side of a video nasty VHS.
As a noir with the punch of a pillow fight and a campy alien invasion as fun as mashed potatoes, Timothy's Night is a quasi-remake that is another misfire.
Lake's placid design philosophy cuts both ways: no flaw too egregious and no positive too remarkable.
The Repairing Mantis has excellent visual consistency that marks this out as no asset swap. This game succeeds where many indie horror titles fail, thanks to its genuine grasp of horror.
Underneath its flaws, Gamedec is a truly unique game that I could spend 30 more hours in.
Lost Judgment shows why RGG is at the top of their game. Its setbacks are hardly noticeable given its strengths.
Deathloop tries its best to live up to the reverence of preceding games like Dishonored and Prey. Unfortunately for the residents of Blackreef island, it comes up a bit short in its execution of new ideas, resulting in some limitations and jarring qualities.
Garden Story is a ripe take on Zelda-like ARPGs, but falls short in a couple of aspects.
TOEM is a serene and silly photographic journey with a few technical bumps
BloodRayne Betrayal: Fresh Bites is a barebones remaster of a middling action experience that does not hold up by today's standards.
Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous is a triumph of a game, and arguably the best isometric RPG since Planescape Torment.
Tales of Arise combines a wonderful combat loop with engaging party members to create an epic yet personal story.
Prinny Presents NIS Classics Volume 1 is a great collection of two really solid titles. It's a shame the port hasn't done more to modernize them.
Life is Strange: True Colors is one of those rare follow-ups that takes everything right about the previous games and not only improves one everything across the board, but also gives the series a much needed revival.
Beethoven & Dinosaur's musical odyssey across the universe isn't as adventurous with its gameplay as its venues, but that doesn't stop The Artful Escape from being a fun ride.
You don't need an incredibly complex city builder for players to have fun, and the ability to play for hours or even just 30 minutes during lunch, makes T-Minus 30 a must pick up game.
Encased is a strategy RPG with lots of depth and options that suffers from stiffness and imbalanced gameplay
Kitaria Fables is a decent farming life sim sadly hampered by its poor RPG elements
The bare minimum was done to port El Shaddai: Ascesion of the Metatron over to PC, but 10 years later it's still an incredible journey.
