7.5 / 10.0 - Skyhill
May 14, 2019

Skyhill is a challenging and fun point-and-click adventure game with the seemingly simple premise of escaping a skyscraper during an apocalypse. A hunger meter adds an extra level of strategy as you rummage hotel rooms and sleigh grotesque mutants. It's an atmospheric and addictive experience that's worth checking out.

While this game certainly isn't for all, what's provided is done so well and in such abundance that I recommend this game to anyone with a Switch and consent to play this kind of game. Not many other games on the Switch can compare in terms of customization, replayability, and sheer scale of its open world.

9 / 10.0 - Katana Zero
May 13, 2019

If you're in the market for a fast paced, action packed platformer then Katana Zero should be on your list. The gameplay is awesome, the music is great and I really like the art style! I highly recommend checking it out.

All that being said, Hob is still a solid title with a good amount of content. You're looking at 10 hours easily with even more if you're going for 100% completion. While certainly not of the same quality of a Legend of Zelda or even Hyper Light Drifter, Hob still has some great entertainment value if you're looking for a good adventure/exploration game.

7.5 / 10.0 - BoxBoy! + BoxGirl!
May 10, 2019

BOXBOY! + BOXGIRL! is an enjoyable and adorable game. It has charm, and plenty of content, and features. I would say its price at $9.99 to be a fine deal and worth getting if you enjoy puzzle platformers.

6.5 / 10.0 - Witch Thief
May 9, 2019

Overall, Witch Thief is an interesting concept for an action arcade game. The controls were smooth and the graphics crisp. If the character didn't depend on facing where the camera was and had no lag, this would have been a better game for me.

7 / 10.0 - The Padre
May 9, 2019

The Padre is a delightfully creepy game that you can move through at your own pace, with plenty of treats for horror fans to find amidst the central mystery.

3 / 10.0 - Theatre Tales
May 8, 2019

It's unfortunate that Theatre Tales was released in this unfinished state because it could be a fun, charming game for young players. In its current version, however, it's a big disappointment…like buying a volume of classic fairy tales with the pages of all but one story glued shut. The game's only $1.99, but you'll still feel cheated after Red gets her happily ever after. But hey, at least someone did.

Yet Another Zombie Defense HD is a substandard game that has similar game modes and rough graphics. The only redeeming quality of this game is the interesting defense mode, which adds some strategy to shooting mindless zombies.

7 / 10.0 - Truberbrook
May 7, 2019

This game has a few sizable issues that hold it back from greatness. But for genre fans, Trüberbrook succeeds thanks to its sci-fi plot, quirky voice-acted characters, and exceptional aesthetics.

8 / 10.0 - Peasant Knight
May 7, 2019

Peasant Knight is a fun platformer runner with a tough edge. The simple design compliments its shorter levels, but don't be fooled – this challenging title requires quick reflexes. If running, jumping, and dying repeatedly is your thing, definitely give this one a go.

8 / 10.0 - Venture Kid
May 6, 2019

Classic NES platforming fans, rejoice. Venture Kid succeeds where even Mega Man’s creator failed when trying to capture that classic Blue Bomber feel. Even with minor flaws, Venture Kid will scratch the itch for Mega Man, and if you’re lucky, scrub the memory of Might No. 9 from your brain.

Although Bow to Blood: Last Captain Standing wasn't for me, this certainly doesn't mean it was a bad game. With a little more to offer with the characters, and some tweaking with the airships, this game could offer someone a unique battle arena experience.

5 / 10.0 - Ultrawings FLAT
May 6, 2019

Ultrawings isn't too bad of a game for players used to plane simulators, but it just wasn't for me. There are a lot of modes allowing for hours of gameplay, provided you get used to the controls quickly.

9.5 / 10.0 - Deponia Doomsday

"Deponia" is full of humor, funny puzzle-solving, and with a setting that I thoroughly enjoy in fiction. For anyone who likes point-and-click adventures, this series is one for you.

While the main appeal of Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice,  – Psychosis and mental instability – was not for me there is still plenty of fun to be had with the game.

While not a fully deep experience for those familiar to the genre, Image & Form's first attempt at a card-based RPG still pays off in spades with a satisfying gameplay hook and journey that oozes with colorful charm.

Dawn of Survivors doesn't have the most original or complicated premise, but is a legitimately solid zombie survival game.

7 / 10.0 - Type:Rider
May 1, 2019

Overall, Type:Rider is like playing through a work of art with good music, excellent visuals, and an interesting and unique concept, but not without some flaws. It's still a good deal at $2.99 and might be worth a look.

7 / 10.0 - Vandals
May 1, 2019

This game is a port from the mobile device market and brought to the Switch with a decent amount of content and plenty of challenges to keep you busy for a good amount of time. While adding an expanded set of controls to use with your TV is a great idea, I found that it was more frustrating than fun. That aside, Vandals is fun and worth the $3.99 price tag.
