With an interesting story and solid gameplay, Monark is an excellent addition to FuRyu's RPGs. Despite having some flaws in the level design, it is a consistent title from the company and an RPG that any fan of the genre should explore.

Here we have another great product from the independent scene. Highlighting its simple gameplay, a very well-made retro aesthetic and a nice incentive for new runs, Infernax is a great choice for those looking for a balance between fun and challenge within the platform action genre. Recommended and favorited in my 2022 games list.

In the end, Maglam Lord isn't a reference for action RPGs or the best visual novel, but it mixes a little of their aspects, making a charismatic, fun and excellent title for someone who wants something more casual. It's more like a date rather than a [title to have a] serious relationship [with].

The new version of Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep fulfills its mission with flying colors. In other words, it offers a fun and action-packed adventure, as well as being an appetizer for its “sequel”. The quality of the DLC brings all that Borderlands 2 has to offer: frenetic gunplay, a funny storyline and lots of cool things to do and discover.

Grapple Dog uses charisma and lots of color to create a nice 2D adventure. Swing through the scenarios using a grappling hook is very intuitive and agile. In addition, the constant introduction of elements and hazards maintains the feeling of novelty throughout the creative stages. Some points are annoying, such as the uninteresting bosses and the jump inaccuracy in certain situations, but overall, the experience is competent. In the end, Grapple Dog captivates and is a great option for those who want to enjoy a platform game inspired by the classic 16-bits.

Edge of Eternity is a good RPG, that maybe was a little too ambitious for a small studio but delivers a good experience for people who wish for a JRPG mixing medieval fantasy with magic and technology. The soundtrack is consistently excellent unlike its visual presentation which varies from marvelous to frustrating. Battles are fun and challenging, with simple, interesting mechanics. I honestly believe that, if Midgar Studios had more budget, Edge of Eternity could have competed with the JRPGs of big developers in scale and quality.

Uncharted: Legacy of the Thieves presents an even more fluid experience of the latest adventures in the franchise on PS5 with new graphics modes, delivering 4K resolution and reaching 60 or 120fps, depending on the mode selected. Adaptation to DualSense features and 3D audio also guarantee an even greater immersion in titles. Unfortunately, some decisions seem to focus more on new players, which dampens the collection's shine.

OlliOlli World combines different genres to offer an accelerated and compelling experience. The simple controls and stages filled with varied elements make the matches exciting and there are various advanced mechanics to master. The changes [when compared to previous games], such as the inclusion of checkpoints, turn the game into a more accessible experience, and at the same time it still offers the complex content for those who seek bigger challenges. Beyond that, its universe is mesmerizing with beautiful cartoonish aesthetics, soft Lo-fi hip-hop soundtrack, exotic locations, and many customization possibilities for the character. Some issues from previous games still persist, such as the trial and error moments; however, the feeling of frustration is minimized thanks to the new options. In the end, OlliOlli World is a must-play.

Sifu was reportedly made as a love letter to martial arts movies, but it manages to go beyond that label and appeal to a much wider audience. Even with its moments of repetition and a bit aggressive grinding, its precise combat system is fun and creative, in addition to bringing the player a whole feeling of really being in the protagonist's shoes. It's an essential title for anyone who likes to challenge themselves and wants to feel firsthand what an aspiring martial artist has to go through to achieve their biggest goal.

Gnosia is a unique work, with unparalleled original gameplay and style. A real gem, unfortunately unknown, that deserves to be played by everyone who appreciates a simple game that values intelligence, with an exceptional story and unforgettable characters. If you want to experience the adrenaline of an imposter game but don't like the inconveniences of multiplayer, this game is for you.

Unlike the other titles in the “series”, Breakout: Recharged is more of a safe choice than an attempt to please nostalgic fans. It can even guarantee itself as a stand-alone title, but for those who want to revisit all the revamped Atari classics, this one might disappoint a little.

Dying Light 2: Stay Human delivers almost the same gameplay experience with few but welcome additions. The plot is the highlight of the new title in the franchise, delivering an interesting story and well-developed secondary characters. The game encourages exploration at night, when the most powerful enemies are on the loose, but guaranteeing the best rewards. Dying Light 2 should be enjoyed calmly, exploring every corner to ensure your survival in the zombie apocalypse. The wait for fans and the curious, who can enjoy the game even without having played the predecessor, was certainly worth it for the expansion of the world of Dying Light.

Please, Touch the Artwork is like visiting an interactive art gallery. The three minigames are simple but captivating thanks to their charming audiovisual elements. The puzzles, especially those in The Style, gain complexity layers little by little, making them very interesting. However, some puzzles are complicated enough to be frustrating, going against its general relaxing nature. In the end, the game offers a unique short experience, even though it isn't particularly memorable.

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction is an excellent FPS, combining a well established universe with a new and bold concept, focusing on stealth and teamwork. The fact missions offer high risks and rewards is addicting and so is getting your agents stronger with each new match. If not for a few small issues and the relatively simple production values, this game could have been one of the best shooters from the last few years. Nonetheless, this is a must-play for your game library.

Shadow Man Remastered is a curious and interesting work from an important age in games filled with big titles. It was close to being one of them and, as any classic, should be played. However, the way this remaster was done can please only those who already loved it, maybe not even them.

Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is a port with deleterious issues on several levels. And its narrative restructuring, while better developing some main characters, also follows new directions that leave “fleas behind the ears”, in addition to introducing new characters and some unpublished scenes of little use. However, the balance is much more positive. This RPG is a must for fans of the franchise and the genre in general, and is also recommended, with reservations, for those who are fans of the PlayStation original in particular.

For those who like puzzles, Wytchwood offers several opportunities to face challenges before advancing on the map. The game does not have an open world, but it guarantees vast scenarios to be explored and unlocked as the player conquers new skills and finds new resources. If you want to play something that challenges you in a fun and not frustrating way, I recommend jumping into this adventure with fantastic beings, unique characters full of side quests to offer and discoveries about the mystery behind the sleeping girl.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel can indeed be considered a good card game. Beautiful visuals, intuitive gameplay, good amount of content and resources to get you started. Unfortunately, there are two serious downsides. First, the game is relatively slow, especially during online matches; second, the matchmaking system is pretty bad and makes competitive play a pain, especially for less experienced players.

Nobody Saves the World is a creative and over-the-top interpretation of action RPGs. The biggest highlight is the variety of bizarre transformations with different abilities and characteristics, and the customization options open up several possibilities when facing the challenges. In addition, the vibrant, humorous and content-filled world encourages us to constantly experiment. Even so, some details are problematic, such as the uncreative dungeons, superficiality of some combats and the moments of repetition. However, the charismatic and colorful atmosphere, together with the agile mechanics, mitigate the problems. In the end, Nobody Saves the World is a light and fun experience.

Living up to its name, Monster Hunter Rise elevates the long-lived Capcom franchise to new heights. Though its fundaments didn't suffer drastic alterations when compared to previous titles in the genre, the new additions such as Wirebugs and the Palamutes make it the fastest and most enjoyable Monster Hunter so far. The adaptation to PCs only further highlights the general quality of one of the best RPGs of the last few years. A must-have.
