In summary, 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim is a delight. As a Visual Novel, it hits the mark in everything it sets out to do, with a charming narrative full of mysteries and characters that break out of the norm as their narratives and relationships deepen. I can say that, for some, the story may drag on a little longer than necessary, but I believe that this impression depends largely on the bond that is created with this universe and these characters, who are incredibly captivating in person. Much more than a recommendation, the title is a must for fans of the genre.

Tormented Souls is a great comeback of what made the survival horror genre so beloved by gamers in the 90s and early 2000s, featuring an intriguing plot and a challenging campaign, full of complex puzzles, crazy plot twists and a fantastic eeriee feel during the experience. If you consider yourself a fan of the genre it's definitely worth giving the game a try.

The only thing holding this game back from being perfect is its low difficulty, which may prevent hardcore players from enjoying it. And I know Kirby isn't a game designed to be difficult, and this shouldn't be considered a inherent flaw, but since the game offers a difficulty selection, a higher difficulty option would have been ideal. However, if Kirby and the Forgotten Land has caught your attention on any level, I recommend giving it a chance.

There's no reinvention or reimagining of the zombie shooter. Amid so many excellent works reviving past games, like Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, Crash Bandicoot, Resident Evil (minus the third), and Final Fantasy VII, the studio behind THE HOUSE OF THE DEAD: Remake seems afraid to venture. Honestly, I don't even know if the "remake" moniker would suit MegaPixel Studio's work. Sure! They developed the game from scratch, but it's an almost frame-for-frame copy of the original, with visual and audio improvements, a more balanced difficulty level, and the occasional gimmick. It's a remake that feels like a remaster.

Big Bang Pro Wrestling is a clear product of its time. Perhaps back in the day it might have been a good pick for wrestling fans who would like to see their favorite sport in a a portable playable version, however, nowadays, despite still having a certain visual charm, it is very slow and boring to play.

Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition is a new chance to experience one of Square's most beloved games released during the PlayStation 1. The game comes with some improvements that will greatly help those who want to play the title and learn about its rich story. Unfortunately, narrative and performance issues may end up being negative in a title that had everything to shine and be another great relaunch from the company.

Ultimately, LEGO Star: Wars Skywalker Saga completely remakes all the other games in the franchise, with changes here and there, of course. If you want something more fun and casual, to relive the experiences of this galaxy far, far away, I highly recommend that you play it. It's fun, it's funny, it's dynamic, okay, it's a bit easy (dying doesn't punish you at all), but it's still a bit challenging. Collecting everything also gives you a very good view of the scope of each area and the galaxy itself.

.hack//G.U. Last Recode is a fun collection of really cool games that shows a bit of what CyberConnect2 is capable of when it's not stuck with anime games. Haseo's adventure is quite interesting and although its narrative has some pacing issues, the story overall is a tale that should be enjoyed by more people. Its gameplay and extra challenges presented will also win over action RPG fans who now have another option to choose from.

It's been 10 years of waiting for a new entry in this franchise since the release of Rune Factory 4 for the Nintendo 3DS, and even if the final result falls short of what fans deserve, Rune Factory 5 is still a genuinely enjoyable experience. I guarantee that the events of interaction will provide unique moments of relaxation and good laughs, and the simple but engaging plot is the least you'd expect from a game in the series.

However, even with this lack of better options, Gal☆Gun: Double Peace is still not the ideal choice to spend your time with. The new re-release has plenty of content for players, but the experience will only be truly enjoyed by those who enjoy this type of media, making it a niche game. Plus, even if you're into something with a lot of fanservice, there are better options for that on the Switch.

Here's an ideal phrase to define what Dawn of the Monsters is: “a love letter to Kaiju Tokusatsu and beat em ups.” If you like the Tokusatsu entertainment with giant monsters or the beat ‘em up style in its golden age, I can say that this is a perfect game for you!

Shin Megami Tensei V is exactly what fans asked for: something new that deserved the numbered title, but still understood the root of what attracted people to the franchise since the first Super Nintendo games. Along with its extreme quality in gameplay, the game establishes itself not only as one of the best RPGs on the Switch, but also as one of the best of the generation. I feel that most of its mistakes arise precisely from the audacity that this game has in breaking away from the formula and I really don't mind them being there.

Chocobo GP is a fun game featuring the Final Fantasy franchise's mascot. However, in a video game that features the acclaimed Mario Kart 8, the game doesn't even come close to its rival. I feel like Square dropped the ball by choosing to produce something cheap and fast without even trying to understand what makes Mario Kart special.

Atelier Sophie 2 ~The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream~ is a surefire gift for hardcore fans and a perfect introduction to the franchise for new players. If you choose to play on the Nintendo Switch, I guarantee that your experience will not be hampered by hardware limitations, because Gust did a great job here!

Despite the technical issues mentioned above, River City Girls Zero fulfills its purpose of providing a taste of more fighting in the presence of the immensely charismatic duo Kyoko and Misako. Given that times have changed, with a more inclusive environment for people who identify as female, it's actually quite pleasing that a spin-off title featuring empowered girls has become the franchise's flagship series.

Finally, I recommend Voice of Cards: The Forsaken Maiden for those who enjoy more classic RPGs and want to experience an alternative evolution that maintains more of the essence of these games, and also for those willing to absorb a JRPG adventure in a different way than usual.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus seems to be the new path that the franchise will take. With so many major changes that apparently pleased the public, I think it's very difficult to go back to what we had without considering at least something from here. Not that forgetting mechanics isn't a constant in Pokémon, right? Anyway, I loved the game. There's a lot to do, it gives you a lot of options, freedom, and it's fun. If you decide, "Oh, today I just want to capture Starlys," you can. It's by far the best Pokémon game I've played in recent years, and I hope it stays that way.

Variable Barricade is a romcom with a weird premise about a girl who absolutely doesn't want to fall in love. With very charismatic characters and a fluid narrative that doesn't get boring, I can easily say this is one of the best otome games translated by Aksys Games.

MONARK is a great tactical JRPG with fun characters, a good combat system, and a story with a great atmosphere, that manages to be both somber and mysterious, while also reflecting upon many important themes. But in its execution it ends up slipping a bit, creating a formula that can be too repetitive for most, especially in the need to grind for experience to continue the main story.

While a game of easy investigations and without much winding, Sherlock Holmes Crimes and Punishments is an interesting game to try. The cases are distinct enough to maintain the player's interest and yields a few hours of fun. However, if you are looking for a work with a good characterization of Holmes, bizarre mysteries and amazing deductions and a moral message that leaves a deep impression… I recommend looking for The Great Ace Attorney.
