[I]t's more like Cube Zero than Cube: it's fun if you like that sort of thing, but if this was all you saw you wouldn't be that interested.

78 / 100 - Splatoon
May 27, 2015

Splatoon is a game that isn't afraid to get messy, and in this case, messy is absolutely a good thing.

Make no doubt about it, at the end of the day House of Wolves DLC is an improvement over The Dark Below DLC, but it could have been so much more.

It doesn't attempt to do anything original or push the boundaries of RPGs.  If this were the 90's, I might be impressed.  Nothing sets this game apart; it strives to be a solid game, nothing more.  Unfortunately, 'solid' is just too flimsy to warrant a second playthrough.

70 / 100 - Not a Hero

The best way to describe the look of the game is if the classic arcade game Elevator Action and new indie title BroForce got together and had a child.

63 / 100 - Toren
May 25, 2015

For now, Toren is suited for someone looking for a story-centric game for the weekend, a younger audience looking for an easier game, or anyone looking at getting into game design. This game is a great example of what you can hope to accomplish early on, and should act as a great portfolio piece for anyone involved. It's worth the $11 though just barely, and will delight anyone looking for a great art style to enjoy as they sort of mindlessly solve simple problems.

There is no question The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt delivers a superb 'Triple A' RPG experience. Featuring some of the best story telling we have seen so far this year and an unforgettable, dynamic and vast open world, Witcher 3 stands as a must own for not only fans of the franchise but those looking for rich experience they can soak 100+ hours into.

Although Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster on the PS3 already did a superb job in bringing back two classic games and adding extra content, the new PS4 counterpart has managed to outdo it. That being said, while the definitive version resides on the PS4, if you already own the PS Vita or PS3 version it is a pricey upgrade for only a few new features and a visual upgrade

[G]ive it a download if you like exploration and puzzles but maybe wait until there's an update before you give it a shot.

With very few drawbacks and some very interesting game modes still coming, this game is going to be a life suck. Whether it be campaign, multiplayer or simply an 'insane' size map and all the races including the ones you create, you will really enjoy throwing whole days away on galactic domination.

Overall, The Perils of Man is a finely constructed game as every element is well thought out and executed. Sure, there are a few bugs with audio, some minor graphical glitches, and a small animation problem causing small annoyances, but they are easy to look past to enjoy the game.

55 / 100 - Lost Orbit
May 10, 2015

If you can get past the audio (preferably by simply turning it off), Lost Orbit is fun and occasionally exciting but not particularly original. There are no doubt hundreds of similar games to grind and master every angle, and this one is fine enough but it's not really memorable in a good way. Perhaps one of Null's soliloquies sums it up best: "for a long time I've considered the truth: that it wouldn't matter if I didn't exist."

Wolfenstein: The Old Blood doesn't reinvent the franchise or really stray from what made The New Order a success but taking this abbreviated journey with B.J. Blazkowicz put a smile on my face from beginning to end.

60 / 100 - Block N Load
May 10, 2015

Look, I don't want to be crapping all over this game because it actually is a decent title that based off of many multiplayer games on Steam, and it should get better with time. I am hoping that some content updates come sooner rather than later, as the game only has five maps at launch as well as one game mode and six characters, so in reality there's not much in the way of content here. I should not that thanks to the dynamic with the varied classes, the game can only be better with friends, but even as you play with them, the cheap tactics and repetitive gameplay can grow stale

85 / 100 - Project CARS
May 7, 2015

This is a promising start with Project Cars offering one of the most fully featured racers at launch date. Further refinement and expansion on these features and FFB could turn this into a real gem. Project Cars is definitely worth parking in your game racing library.

The story and the game quickly become compartmentalized, one simply unlocking more of the other.

It's a shame really, because this game and any other with Shadowrun in its name has so much content to draw from. Missions, equipment, rules, it could translate to the digital world quite well.

The Weaponographist does enough things right that will appeal to gamers that are heavily into "The Binding of Isaac"-like dungeon crawlers. The gameplay compensates for the lessor elements of graphics, sound, and lack of personality. The Weaponographist won't be the most memorable game you will play but its strong elements do overshadow its shortcomings.

Ys VI still has its original charm and classic elements to make it a timeless game. It's a simple and not overly complicated action RPG which makes it an easy game to experience and love. While its simplicity and common RPG elements does not make it stand out excessively from its competitors, it stays in its safe zone and continues its formula.
