If you’re fresh off the likes of Streets of Rage 4 or River City Girls, I feel like this stands next to them pretty handily. Couch multiplayer fans will feel comfortable enough taking in the short runtime, even with a few rough edges. Certain elements here ultimately amount to nitpicks, but the total package still holds up today.
Scott Pilgrim vs the World: The Game Complete Edition is a solid brawler that features some rather brutal difficulty to it, and a bit of a grind factor as well.
Ubisoft's charming side-scrolling beat 'em up finally comes to modern consoles, in a complete definitive edition that doesn't add new content or improve the original game, but still delivers one of the best modern games in the genre, with great gameplay and a killer soundtrack

Charm is perhaps the biggest thing Scott Pilgrim Vs The World: The Game - Complete Edition on Xbox has going for it. Unfortunately, the fighting isn’t quite as tight as it could be and occasionally lets down the wonderful music and great visuals.
Completing the campaign, there are several modes to have fun with, either alone or with friends. It is certain that by adding Scott Pilgrim Vs. the World: The Game - Complete Edition to your collection, there is no way you will regret it.

This is as straight forward as a beat 'em up title gets and since it was first released, this genre has seen some changes since it first came out but the charisma and the character that Scott Pilgrim vs. The World brings to the table, makes it a title still worth experiencing after 10 years or so.

Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World: The Game Complete Edition stays true to the movie and comic book themes and provides an adequate experience for those who love Scott Pilgrim. The retro audio and graphics perfectly fit the game's style, but that alone was not enough to save a game that failed on the core essentials of a beat 'em up.
Except for minor technical mistakes, this is a fascinating game. 9/10

While the complete edition is a fun blast from the past Scott Pilgrim vs The World The Game it is just that. It's a game from a different time that has some trouble keeping up with the new games in town. The addition of an online co-op is nice though.

Overall, Scott Pilgrim vs The World is one of the better side-scrolling 2D beat 'em ups I have played. The difficulty, especially early on when you feel underpowered, remains an issue. The game is dripping with charm though and despite the frustrations it kept me coming back for more and wanting to fill out my upgrades with different characters. Hopefully, the online stability can improve, completing a worthwhile return for the once banished gem.
At the end of the day, it’s just nice to see things like this happen.
Beat 'em ups were flatlining when Scott Pilgrim was originally released. A decade later the genre is in rude health, but it's a testament to the game's quality that it still stands tall as one of the better examples. Fans may be disappointed, however, that practically nothing has been added to the game after all this time.
SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD COMPLETE EDITION is a compilation of game contents released in 2010 with all its additions more than being a remaster. If you went through the original before, there is no need to repeat it with this version because it adds nothing to your experience, but if you did not have the opportunity to try it before, you can do so with this full version, especially if you find someone to share this adventure with.

The original DLC is included, which adds Knives and Wallace as playable characters, along with a few bonus modes that offer some decent distractions from the main story, yet there is a real lack of legacy content here to make the title feel like a true celebration. Regardless, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game – Complete Edition remains the same blast of a game that it was over a decade ago, whether you are playing alone, locally via co-op, or even through online co-op, it is a game that will appeal to most, and is a must-have for those who are fans of the source material. Now, let us just pray that Ubisoft doesn’t have to take this version off the store in the future too!
