Use your money to have a barbecue instead of buying this game and you will have made a more sensible decision.

Aliens: Fireteam Elite has a lack of mission variety, technical issues, bad matchmaking, and a repetitive structure. All of that said, it's still a fun time. I'm off to play some more right now.

Aliens: Fireteam Elite is a fine co-op shooter in a beloved franchise. It can offer lots of fun and tons of shooting, which should be enough for at least a couple of evenings.

Aliens: Fireteam Elite is a thin co-op horde shooter with an Aliens skin. And for many, that’ll be exactly what they are looking for. This looks and sounds the part of the 80s action classic and will tickle those nostalgia senses.

Aliens: Fireteam Elite is probably what I deserve for getting my hopes up. But just like my plans for Summer of 2020, my hopes have been taken from me and ejected into the cold vacuum of space.

Aliens: Fireteam Elite is pure joy to play when all the stars line up. By that I mean when playing with friends or when you're lucky enough to get matchmaking online to work. There's a lot to like here, from the intense moment-to-moment combat, to the deep class system and the exceptional weapon variety. It's really too bad the game is severely lacking on the matchmaking front so here's hoping this gets addressed quickly. If it does get resolved, I can see this being my main go-to online multiplayer game for many months to come.

Aliens: Fireteam Elite Shines when it comes to enjoyable gameplay. Gunplay is so enjoyable, upgrade system is advanced, different classes make high replay value and various enemy types make fighting away from being repetitive. If you want a good co-op game in the world of Aliens, Play Aliens: Fireteam Elite. You don't regret!

Aliens: Fireteam Elite could have been a much better game but its many bugs and glitches, and strange design decisions hold it back from shining.

Aliens: Fireteam Elite does no favors to the franchise's reputation in video games. It's a mostly functional, but very repetitive and bland shooter that may only grab the interest of the most hardcore Xeno enthusiasts.

Aliens: Fireteam Elite is an online co-operative action title that exudes love for the franchise on which it is based, that doesn't aspire to revolutionise anything and that has, in its simplicity, its main virtues and defects. As accessible and satisfying as it is repetitive. A perfect videogame to enjoy in company. Immediate fun that will also delight fans of the second film installment of the franchise. A pity it doesn't take more risks and is so predictable in almost everything it does.

Aliens: Fireteam Elite manages to deliver good cooperative gameplay and it reasonably explores the immense Alien universe. Even so, it has technical problems, lack of immersion and, above all, repetition without much reward.

Aliens: Fireteam Elite sits squarely in the middle of other Alien games. There’s certainly worse out there, but there is also much better. It’s an uninspired struggle through a tired gameplay loop that just happens to be slathered in Alien slime and plays like one of the older Gear of Wars.

Aliens: Fireteam Elite is in no way the failure that Colonial Marines was. It's a fun squad shooter with just about enough features at launch to keep you coming back to replay missions and tackle the horde mode. However, it's not the strongest game of its type and really doesn't seem to fit the license.

Fireteam Elite doesn’t stray from the horde-heavy, co-op gameplay that's typical of multiplayer shooters, but the newest Alien title is packed with great visuals, smart classes, and great action.

Besides the flatness of the levels and the AI/NPC issues, the game is actually enjoyable to play, especially if you are looking for a fun, brainless shooting game where all you have to do is unload bullets into creepy crawly things.

With a $39.99 price point; the game is especially attractive and fans of the series that are willing to overlook the shortcomings will likely enjoy the detailed settings and abundance of action.
