Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course Reviews
The Delicious Last Course is almost perfect, as the original. Is impressive, difficult and technically amazing, but short.

If you've got the stomach for a challenge, you'd be hard-pressed to find a title more impressive than Cuphead in any genre. This masterpiece only gets better, thanks to The Delicious Last Course. Cuphead remains my favorite indie game for the amount of love and dedication that goes into each level. Animation, music, and boss designs are all impeccable, somehow outdoing the base game's offerings. Considering that the expansion only costs $7.99, it's hard to argue that this isn't one of the best DLC packages of the last decade.
In 2018, Studio MDHR first revealed the DLC for Cuphead, cleverly named ‘The Delicious Last Course’. Fans have waited years for new content for the much-celebrated platformer but is this expansion a treat or did it need more time in the oven? Find out in this Rapid Review.
Cuphead – The Delicious Last Course is another triumph of style and substance. At $7.99, you’re dining good at not only is a great price but a great reason to return to the Inkwell Isles. It’s a smorgasbord of content with so much new added, and can now be considered complete with this release. This last morsel of gaming greatness is something that should be savored. Cuphead – The Delicious Last Course is a required and essential piece of DLC that would make the rest of the game feel incomplete otherwise.
The Delicious Last Course is a full-fledged DLC that completely elevates the experience of playing Cuphead. The addition of Ms. Chalice has breathed a new spirit into the game, and along with new charms and shots, it has doubled the replay value of the game. All in all, like the original version, this add-on package is one of a kind, and although it is short in terms of content, it makes up for this shortcoming in terms of quality.

The Delicious Last Course lives up to its name by bringing Cuphead to a truly magnificent conclusion. The DLC is packed with a generous amount of content that'll keep players coming back for more. Ms. Chalice's play style is enough to add hours of replay value on its own, but the fact she's rounded out by over half a dozen new bosses, unique parry challenges, new weapons to play around with, and a lengthy side quest dedicated to upgrading a charm makes it even better. Inkwell Isle Four is small, but the DLC makes the most of its space and doesn't restrict new content to the one setting. Every weapon, charm, and even Ms. Chalice herself can be used in the three main Isles once they're unlocked. With so much quality content on tap, Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course sets a new standard for DLC.
The Delicious Last Course is just about everything a fan of Cuphead could have asked for, with bosses just as and even more zany than those found in the base game.
This follow-up to the acclaimed 2017 cartoon shooter is a gauntlet of boss fights against outlandish flora and fauna with an eye-pleasing nod to classic animation
Last Course also includes a series of five optional battles that revolve around chess-themed bosses, though in these, all weapons and charm-based offensive abilities are disabled. You can only defeat these bosses by keeping track of flashing-pink parts of the bosses, then repeatedly colliding with those with your parry maneuver. Miss Chalice's updated parry ability makes her a great choice for this optional boss-rush sequence, but however you face it, Studio MDHR uses this parry-only restriction to execute some of the series' most memorable boss moments (even if they're a bit easier than the standard bosses).
If you’ve enjoyed Cuphead, The Delicious Last Course is a must buy as it not only provides a handful of new and exciting bosses to fight, and a host of different challenges in the way of the King of Games levels, but also an entirely new way to play both the expansion and the main game with the inclusion Ms. Chalice. Hope you’re not too full as this is one hell of a dessert!
Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course is the perfect closure to a game. It is an expansion to enjoy more content, fun, new weapons and much more challenging bosses. In addition, Miss Chalice and the new phases to get coins provide a touch of extra freshness and a plus to beat bosses from other islands at the controls of the new character.

Studio MDHR’s “Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course” provides players with a five-star meal. As I picked my teeth, let out a final sigh of relief and felt full from my experience, I can only hope that the DLC’s name was just a play on words — and that there’s still room left for dessert.
If you’ve been desperate for more Cuphead, this is likely the last new content you’ll see. Thankfully it’s a hell of an encore for Cuphead, Mugman, and now, Ms. Chalice.
