If you just want more Portal, that might make The Entropy Centre enough for you. It's not much more than that, but it also sticks so closely to the formula that it doesn't do anything crazy that would make you dislike the game, either. It's a well-worn path at this point, and The Entropy Centre never once strays from it.

The Entropy Centre is truly quite the marvel, especially considering how Stubby Games is a one-man band! Not only does it look and play well, but it is an exceptional puzzle solving experience capable of outlasting all of the very obvious Portal design influences it exudes. The Entropy Centre is worth experiencing from start to finish, and by golly is it a good one.

The Entropy Centre is a charismatic title that adds time as a mechanic to consider, adding a fourth dimension to a puzzle game and getting great results in the process.

All in all, The Entropy Centre is a charming and inventive puzzle platformer. It’s nowhere near as memorable or innovative as its main cake-smelling source of inspiration, nor is it particularly replayable, but as a one-off, mind-bending puzzle adventure, yup, this gets the job done with honors for the extention of its runtime, more than making up for what little issues I’ve found in its voice acting and presentation departments as well.

At first glance, The Entropy Centre might look like a Portal clone even in its mechanics can feel very similar, but Stubby Games make the game stand on his own with its puzzles and characters creating a fantastic game for the puzzle fans.

While The Entropy Center sticks very close to its Portal-esque roots, the well-crafted puzzles work perfectly with its simple but effective time travel mechanic. There are some sections where too many enemies can be an annoying distraction from the puzzling, but these are forgivable because the temporal manipulation powers provide such unique challenges. Time is our most precious resource, but it’s well worth spending it here.

The Entropy Centre doesn’t dwell too much on the story, though. While the slow reveal of what’s going on is delivered well and the growing friendship between Aria and Astra works and is fun to watch, it’s much more focused on being a great puzzle game first and foremost, which it is unequivocally a success at. The Entropy Centre‘s light use of time manipulation serves as the basis for some clever and satisfying puzzles, easily putting it among some of the best of the genre.

Even considering these minor hiccups, I cannot deny that I had a wonderful time with The Entropy Centre. Stubby Games’ puzzler manages to not only fill its influence’s shoes, but do something all its own at the same time. That is an achievement worth celebrating: a better tomorrow indeed.

The Entropy Centre is without a doubt one of the best games you will play this year, a true GOTY contender, and saying this in the year of Elden Ring, Horizon: Forbidden West & God of War: Ragnarok, truly says a lot about the excellent quality that is present in this game.

The Entropy Centre keeps players guessing and engaged with some surprisingly thrilling action sequences and well thought out puzzles. The narrative keeps you pressing on, the humour helps it somehow stay light in the most horrific circumstances, and it all comes together brilliantly in one package. Minor gripes aside, this is one of the best you’ll find in the genre since Portal 2 itself.

Puzzle games that manipulate the laws of physics have a new and very interesting representative in The Entropy Center. With the best device I have ever seen in this type of game, with well-planned puzzles and challenges, an intriguing and pure science-fiction plot, and high-end visuals, here is a must-see for those who like to give head.

I think a lot of people who really enjoy puzzle games will get a lot from The Entropy Center. It might be a bit darker and tonally dark compared to other similar titles out there, but it does deliver a rather enjoyable and rewarding experience.

If you like puzzle games with brilliant stories, deviously clever puzzles, an incredible atmosphere, and an emotionally charged soundtrack buy this game.  The Entropy Centre came out of nowhere and floored me with its brilliance; the less you know before you go in, the better of an experience it will be.
