It is still the benchmark, untopped here, albeit close, in spite of its tapped self.
Resident Evil 4 Remake certifies Capcom's state of bliss. With a smart re-design of old areas, no more QTEs, knife management and a decisive step forward in graphics and sound design, the immortal classics returns with its best version to date.

Resident Evil 4 Remake is a faithful reimagining that brings the beloved survival-horror classic into the modern era with a host of new features, content tweaks and graphical updates.
Resident Evil 4 perfectly captures the tone and strengths of the original game, while also managing to improve upon it in truly meaningful ways. In doing so, it once again becomes a standard-bearer for the survival horror genre, while also setting a new bar for Capcom as a developer, for video game remakes, and for the Resident Evil franchise as a whole.
For those who loved playing the original, Resident Evil 4 Remake is a fantastic reexamination of one of the best games ever made. For those who are experiencing it for the first time, it’s an excellent survival horror game that’ll make you want to play more.
Although Resident Evil 4 is a superb remake, it still exists in the shadow of what made the original so important. However, the parry system stands out as the most welcome change to the largely familiar proceedings. At its core, the game remains the same stupendous spectacle of action horror it always was, but with arguably even higher intensity.
This classic title gets some much needed love in terms gameplay handling, graphics, combat and more. This remake provides a much smoother experience while still keeping that nostalgic feel. It's ode to keeping close to the original is what fans will appreciate, but now the experience will feel much more complete and more welcoming for newer players in terms of controls. A fun updated survival horror classic.
Resident Evil 4 may not be as revolutionary as the original was, but it pays tribute to that game in a respectful way without losing its own identity. This is a solid remake, and an overall fantastic game, that any Resident Evil fan should be pleased to add to their library.
While the visual upgrade alone is a good enough draw to relive one of Capcom's all-time elites, Resident Evil 4 remake brings a wealth of new tweaks that contribute to a perfect reimagination. Even with deeper character development and extended gameplay, it still retains the original's charm through intense scares and goofy B-movie-like scenarios that never feel too old. The new knife mechanics tighten the core gameplay by adding an element of resourceful survival horror to an otherwise frenzied action-heavy affair. With the free, wave-style Mercenaries mode dropping next week, there's no better time for long-time fans or newcomers to jump in and experience the horrors awaiting in the iconic claustrophobic European village setting of Resident Evil 4.
Resident Evil 4‘s remake does what the first Resident Evil remake does for the franchise. It expands upon an incredible foundation and creates fresh material while remixing existing scenarios that were sacred. Capcom was very careful with the changes and has delivered another excellent experience that honors the original’s legacy.
Resident Evil 4 is a game you can recommend to everyone. The game is almost perfect on every aspect and fighting against the enemies with Leon S. Kennedy is as amazing as it was in the original RE4. Resident Evil 4 is a great remake for both the old fans and new gamers.

I may sound like I’m being quite critical of Resident Evil 4 here, but I’m doing so simply because the whole experience was brand new to me, and I was thus feeling particularly conscious of everything that was happening, especially because of how well-loved the original is. On the whole, I had an absolutely great time with Resident Evil 4 remake, and I fully intend to return to it to investigate the various bonus weapons and unlockable options once I’ve blasted through the rest of the series.
Nitpicks aside, Capcom’s 2023 Resident Evil 4 is a behemoth of a game with loads of replayability. The game is beautiful, the characters are likable, and the gunplay is challenging and fun.
While I still think the Resident Evil 2 Remake is the king, Resident Evil 4 Remake is still a fantastic game. Fans of Resident Evil or survival horror, in general, should check it out.
Remake Resident Evil 4 game provided with it a very wonderful experience with its various elements, a distinctive gameplay system with all additions, beautiful graphics in most of the game, and various improvements that make this game one of the experiences that cannot be missed.

Resident Evil 4's excellent variety, involving combat, and rollercoaster pacing makes it one of the best in the series and a faithful recreation, mired by a parasitic companion and a few weird franchise tropes.
RE4 Remake is without a doubt one of the best remakes ever made if not the best, and the fact that it remained so loyal to the core gameplay that was designed almost two decades ago shows what a marvelous job Capcom did back in 2005, and proves that if something is done proper, it can last forever.

Resident Evil 4 2023 resembles the American remake of the Asian film, where the authors seem to have taken the same components, but did not understand why and how they work. Even without a comparison with RE4, the project has enough problems, and if you push it head-on with the original, it becomes even sadder.
