Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Reviews
Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is a culmination of superhero games in decades. Insomniac outdid themselves this time, and Spider-Man 2 is what every Spidey fan is looking for. It's such a spectacular game and an incredible sequel. Spider-Man 2 isn't just a technical feat; it's brimming with lovable characters and exhilarating combat, accompanied by a compelling and emotional story, and has a city full of activities that will get you sidetracked. Spider-Man 2 deserves a Game of the Year award.
With oodles of variety, rewarding combat, and eye-popping cinematic visuals, Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is undoubtedly a game worth buying a PlayStation 5 for. It's one of the best action games ever made.
Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is a spectacular sequel to the adventures of Peter Parker and Miles Morales, but it also turned out to be the most problematic porting of the Nixxes. A situation that would probably have been avoided if the Dutch developers had been given a longer period to work on the conversion, but which they are solving with the patches released these days.

The new spider-man adventure with Marvel's Spider-man 2 could be a great game coming out of the PS5 exclusive, but it has been clouded by all its problems, bugs and crashes at launch.

I’ve been a colossal Spider-Man fan for 20+ years now, and I can confidently say that from all of the games I’ve played, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 evoked all of the warm, fuzzy feelings that Spider Man 2 gave me almost 2 decades ago. The web-swinging is supreme, the fights are an absolute joy, the presentation is superb, and it all culminates in a video game that I sunk an entire three days into and never wanted to take a break from.
Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is a sequel that improves upon its predecessor in every way. The developers, aimed not to revolutionize the series, but to deliver an enhanced version of what fans loved while addressing the shortcomings of the first game. It's a familiar yet engaging sequel that tells a new story, captivating players for many hours. Minor issues don't significantly detract from the overall experience, with the main criticism being the desire for even more content.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 by Insomniac Games is a truly incredible title, featuring a well-written, solid and engaging narrative plot, deep characters-each grappling with “their own personal ghosts”-that evolve nicely during the game campaign, and gameplay, albeit “more of the same,” further refined and improved. Being able to perform parrying and counterattack actions makes the gameplay decidedly more dynamic especially against those enemies, which although still characterized by an AI that is not always brilliant, can really give our heroes and their skills, techniques and gadgets a run for their money. Further embellishing the Marvel's Spider-Man 2 experience, which is essentially the culmination of everything the studio has learned about development on PS5, is the excellent technical and graphical performance. PS5's I/O capabilities negate loading times, allowing a switch from Peter to Miles and vice versa, immediate, DualSense and 3D audio, increase the immersiveness of the experience, and the graphics, thanks to the proprietary engine, are nothing short of breathtaking. More to add? Buy it!

If Spider-Man 1 was about what it means to be Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2, as its natural evolution, is about what it takes to be a Spider-Man. Insomniac Games has crafted a sequel that feels better than the original in almost every way. It has numerous shortcomings, especially when it comes to its gameplay, but like 2021's Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy, it's also a shining example of why superhero games will continue to thrive as long as there are great stories to tell.
Insomniac pushed a generous helping of actual heart into Spider-Man 2, respectfully engaging with New York City and its people better than a lot of other modern games. 'Marvel's Spider-Man 2' is a blast from start to finish, and thankfully, getting to the finish line doesn't take forever.
Marvel's Spider-Man 2 doesn't represent the huge leap in quality that some expected, but it remains a great sequel: the game maintains the solid foundations of the two titles before it, and brings Peter and Miles together for a simply magnificent adventure. The gameplay has been further expanded with new attacks and abilities, resulting in increasingly varied fights, especially against bosses. It's just a pity for a certain superficiality in the handling of the open world, even if just fluttering through the skyscrapers of New York is still a wonderful experience.

Spider-Man 2 is great fun — a very concise package of technically exceptional set pieces webbed together by compelling characters dealing with friendship, loss, and trauma. The story, however, is unevenly paced with a short and quick tail-end, leaving players asking for more.
This is how sequels should be. They should build upon the events of the original, introduce new complications for our characters, present challenges that will help them grow as they manage to overcome them and introduce new mechanics that change up the gameplay in new and interesting ways. Spider-Man 2 does all of that and more.
Marvel's Spider-Man 2 looks like a true next-gen experience, taking full advantage of the PlayStation 5 hardware. A more mature and epic storyline than in the past, spectacular boss fights, and some minor gameplay improvements return a superlative experience to the user. Despite some technical glitches, Spider-man 2 establishes itself as one of the best superhero titles ever, and a candidate for GOTY 2023.

I have mixed feelings about Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. The bad side of the amplitude is mostly related to some cast members and the predictable narrative. The game is a technical masterpiece and an exciting, functional sandbox. If you are looking forward to web the bad guys whilst paying less attention to the plot, this game could fill your soul coffers. If you also require a compelling narrative, you better be young and unfamiliar with the rich Spider-Man lore. Long-time fans have seen everything on offer here multiple times.
Marvel's latest offering for the PS5, "Marvel's Spider-Man 2," is nothing short of a sensational masterpiece — that being a matter-of-fact statement, given it is the Sensational Spider-Man.
Marvel's Spider-Man 2 shows exactly where the power of the PlayStation 5 lies. Swinging around NYC never felt so satisfying and now you can float to Brooklyn too. From the first minute to the credits, the story hits like a bomb. The new skills provide a different way of playing and there is also plenty to do in this game. The latter sometimes feels like a repetition, but that certainly shouldn't spoil the fun because you are Spider-Man after all!

Spider-Man 2 is a sequel that is superior to the first game in a lot of gameplay ways, but also falls short in the narrative and writing. It’s a more streamlined experience that still offers a ton of blockbuster action, but then it hits you with some head scratching character decisions and pace killing side activities. If you’re a fan of Spider-Man then it is still an absolute must play game, and I would hope that at this point a lot of the issues I had while playing have been ironed out.
Marvel's Spider-Man 2 stands as a nearly perfect game that would undoubtedly receive a much higher rating and secure my Game of the Year title if only the developers had taken a more daring leap. Despite this, it remains one of the best games I've encountered this year and is a straightforward recommendation for both dedicated fans and casual gamers alike.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2’s storyline was disappointing, despite the compelling characters. However, the gameplay experience is nothing short of exceptional. It’s so captivating that I found myself yearning for more of it.
Spider-Man 2 is a cut above its predecessor, with significantly improved gameplay and a narrative that tugs at your heartstrings.
