Divinity: Original Sin - Enhanced Edition Reviews
With over 13,000 changes to the base product, a graphical overhaul, and a bevy of UI additions, Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition improves on the original release in every way. There are a few hiccups in translation, but they are minor bumps in the road for this incredible RPG.
Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition offers a well-written story, in-depth character development and tactical combat that will be more than enough to please most tactical fans.
Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition is much more than a simple PC to console port, as there are also 1000+ changes to the game. The basic framework of the game is similar, but the game is vastly different now than when it was initially reviewed in 2014. I should note that all of the content updates and changes that exist in the PS4 version of the game have been added to the PC version via an update.
Enhanced Edition brings a breath of fresh air into the Original Sin experience in a great way.
An outstanding game gets bigger and better, adding massive new features; simply put, it's a must have for RPG fans.
This. Game. Is. Astounding. Go. Buy. It. Oh I suppose you'll expect some kind of proper conclusion. Divinity is packed with enough content to keep you going well above the seventy hour mark, and enough choices and outcomes in every situation to make you want to start a new game the minute the credits begin rolling.
PC players who have already delved into Original Sin get the Enhanced Edition free, which comes with all the new goodies as well, so it's worth revisiting there as well. However, the biggest triumph is that console owners will get to experience this otherwise PC-centric title with fantastically translated controls, stellar voiceovers for all characters, and some gorgeous graphics for good measure.
Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition takes a difficult but excellent old school RPG and improves it in almost every conceivable way. A treat for all existing owners of the PC original and an absolute must for RPG lovers who only have access to a console. A must buy!
I liked Divinity Original Sin. It was one of my all time favorite classic-styled RPGs. The Enhanced Edition is simply more of what I loved from the original version of the game, and definitely holds up to my original love for the game. I can wholeheartedly recommend any and all console gamers to pick up this wonderful title if you haven't played it already.
Quirky, fun and with a tight focus on player freedom, Divinity: Original Sin stands out as one of the more interesting RPGs, even if it lacks the story to match.
Overall my experience of the game was good and a lot of the systems in play were excellently integrated, but I found myself wanting something different out of the game and that itch just wasn't scratched.
Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition is an enhanced version of what was already a monumental RPG. With this release on home consoles, everybody now has the chance to enjoy what is one of the generation's best games. It does so many things that other RPGs do not, allowing more freedom to explore, fight, and build a character on the player's terms. The story here is neither revolutionary nor the best one seen in this genre. However, it is what is around the story that makes it such a compelling experience. An incredibly interesting battle system, great dialogue and general narrative development launch the title into the top tier. The fully voiced characters are the cherry on the cake. This is a AAA-level experience with a 60 hour adventure created using indie money, and that is one of the biggest compliments you can give to a developer and a game.
Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition is a very well constructed, and beautifully made RPG. It isn't for the faint hearted; knowledge of how RPG's work, and a lot of time, is needed to understand and get to grips with the game. While being challenging, it offers plenty of action to those who wish to immerse themselves in a rich and quest filled world.
Last year, Divinity: Original Sin was one of my favourite video games when it released. The new Enhanced Edition reminds me why, but it it not content to simply sit back on prior success. Meaningful changes were made in thousands of large and subtle ways, and the result is one of the best RPG experiences that can be found on either PC or console.
Add the new voice-overs and the co-op functionalities to the existing package, and you have a role-playing game that you say U to. The slow start and the tough challenge that the game offers won't be for everyone. But anyone who loves role-playing games, can't get their luck on with Divinity Original Sin Enhanced Edition.

A more well-rounded story and improvements to both combat combat mechanics and environment interaction makes Divinity: Oricinal Sin – Enhanced Edition the definitive version of Larian’s RPG.

It's hard to believe that Larian was able to make Original Sin better than it already was but they did. This package is a must-buy for any console player looking for an RPG to sink dozens of hours into, and there are enough changes to warrant PC players jumping back in.
Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition is an extremely intriguing and captivating game which goes above and beyond of what we have come to expect from the contemporary, mainstream RPGs. But ultimately, the inconsistencies within the game, and mindless AI can hamper the overall experience of the title
Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition will be loved by hardcore RPG fans who enjoy Baldur's Gate and the original Diablo titles. Fans of new RPGs and Diablo 3 will be turned off by an overabundance of menus and UI issues and cumbersome inventory management. However, if players can look past the gameplay flaws there is a great story being told and the characters are all interesting and have their own stories and motivations.
If you own a PS4 and do in fact have a queue of turn-based or action RPGs you want to get around to, then maybe Divinity deserves to jump to the front of the line. And if you are a PC gamer that owns the original version of Divinity, you should know the upgrade to this edition is free!
