The Last of Us Part II Remastered Reviews
The Last of Us Part II Remastered on PC becomes the definitive version of the game. Adding to Naughty Dog's rich story are plenty of exciting extras, discarded levels, and the roguelike mode, No Return. Plus, we'll have a wealth of graphical and performance options available to ensure great scalability across a wide range of systems. Whether it's your first time playing the game or you want to rediscover it with graphical improvements and additional content, this is undoubtedly the best way to do it.

It’s not my favorite game of the generation, but it might be one of the most important ones, nonetheless. After all, very few other titles have inspired this much conversation or interpretation. If that isn’t the sign of a future classic, then what is?
The Last of Us Part II has always been a polarizing game. I was part of the public that let my curiosity get the better of me and saw the disparaging leaks before the game released. Despite this, I soldiered on and enjoyed the game’s attention-to-detail, combat, and atmosphere in spite of its shortcomings elsewhere. I also subscribe to the fact that this series having more remasters than original entries is ludicrous – but I’m complacent in the fact that the addition of No Return makes this particular remaster so worth it.
With "The Last of Us Part II Remastered", the most beautiful version is released natively on the PlayStation 5 console and impresses with its new features. The game doesn't change the story and scores more with the many extras that come with the version. The new game mode "No Return" is definitely a highlight alongside the first-class story and brings a huge amount of variety. We can recommend the remaster.

Should you buy The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered? If you haven't experienced Ellie and Abby's adventure, absolutely yes, given the affordable price and added content. The same goes for those with the original installation, as the definitive edition is worth the reasonable cost. Even with some different opinions, this operation is highly satisfactory in the current market.

The Last of Us: Part II is at times almost perfect game. However, its remaster isn't that ideal, as the amount of new content it introduces is insufficient. Still enjoyable story, great combat and superb graphics can make the player smile, exactly as the game should.

The Last of Us: Part 2 Remastered is an essential piece to add to your PlayStation collection, especially if you've never had the chance to play the 2020 title. The re-release shines thanks to the power of the PS5 and the improvements made with the more performing hardware, also offering a series of tasty extras: the roguelike No Return mode is the real gem, proving fun and well structured even without offering new mechanics compared to the single player experience. Unlike the remake Part 1, where the launch price was understandably criticized, we also believe that the choice to offer an upgrade for €10 is an acceptable requirement given the work done.

The Last of Us Part 2's No Return mode may not have an in-depth progression system nor offer rewards that keep you hooked for hundreds of hours, but it's still a lot of fun to play. The moment-to-moment gameplay is satisfying, and if you're a fan of Resident Evil's Mercenary mode, this could be your next jam - for a little while, at least.
While the base game has always been technically impressive, The Last of Us Part II Remastered just makes all of it slightly better. There's not much you can do to improve something that's already fantastic to begin with. No Return mode and Developer Commentary track are great things to look forward to for returning players. For the ones who haven't played Part II yet, this Remastered version should be the only thing you'll consider getting.
The Last of Us Part 2 Remaster is the definition of ‘more of a good thing’. It comes with the core game, which itself I still find to be an incredible follow up to the first game along with a surprisingly deep new mode with No Return and a slew of new features that enhance an already great game but now allows it to utilise the improved features of the PS5.
The Last of Us Part II Remastered is the definitive version of one of the best games of all time. Enough said.

The Last of Us Part II Remastered isn't a release for everyone, but it's an offering of undeniable value. It is an irrefutable proposal for fans of this extraordinary series who want to (re)live one of the best narratives in our medium, as well as for players who like to delve into the creative process of productions of this scale. Those looking for a different experience will be able to find something interesting in the No Return mode, although it is not a mandatory experience, neither for those who love the base game, nor for those more fascinated by roguelike experiences. As a whole, this is a phenomenal title, filled with varied and extremely high quality content, but whose return will be more or less worth it depending on how much mileage you have already come with or how fanatical you are about the journey offered here.

'The Last Of Us Part II Remastered' adds one game mode and minimal extras. Graphically it is better, but it is difficult to notice. The game itself remains as classy as before, but the remaster still feels very unnecessary.

Well-documented leaks muddied initial opinions of The Last of Us Part II by now, but with the benefit of time, it is easy to see why it won so many awards four years ago, and it will stand the test of time as one of the greatest games ever made. The parallel storyline, risky payoff, immaculate soundtrack, and iconic performances, now remastered and with more meaningful content than ever, will always be there for us when we wish to relive a harrowingly told tale as old as time.
The Last of Us Part II is a masterpiece, and this Remastered version is the ultimate way to experience the groundbreaking title. Graphically I didn't notice too many improvements, but the PS4 version was already visually stunning and the same holds true for the upgraded PS5 version. The Lost Levels, developer commentary and No Return roguelike modes are impressive additions, while the Guitar Free Play and Speed Run Mode just sweeten the deal.
This remaster might feel a bit superfluous as the original PS4 version was already great. However, the added features including the commentary, deleted scenes and the new roguelike game mode are welcome additions. For new players, this remastered version is definitely the right choice. For owners of the PS4 version, the extras and extra graphical fidelity might be enough to entice the relatively small upgrade fee.

What The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered lacks is consistency. It's been too few years to see the potential of a remastered game, especially when the original title has a sublime technical compartment. The Lost Levels and Campaign Commentary turn out to be the best extra content, while the No Return mode is out of context.

The Last of Us Part II Remastered might not be the remaster that players have asked for, but surely one that everyone can appreciate. Both games in The Last of Us franchise are now easily accessible side by side on the PlayStation 5 and can be enjoyed by returning and new players alike. The added visual flares and technical improvements are the cherries on top, but the addictive No Return roguelike mode among intimate commentary and pre-alpha levels are what make this the definitive sequel experience.
The Last of Us Part II remains a fascinating sequel to one of gaming’s most celebrated franchises, and its No Return addition makes it more replayable than it was four years ago.
The Last of Us Part II Remastered is very worth it, including from a financial point of view. After all, this is the improved version of a winner of more than 300 Game of the Year awards, with a great (albeit controversial) plot, top-notch production and even better gameplay. The discount for owners of a copy for PS4 is valid and serves as an incentive to return to the game.
