A Void Hope isn’t Elden Pixel’s finest project yet, but it is certainly its most interesting one. Even if its gameplay and story feel shallow, it does a great job of immersing you in its creepy and dark world—this is the kind of game that you’ll probably never play again after you finish it, but you’ll always remember it. It's worth picking up if you’re at all a fan of this studio’s previous work or if you’re interested in trying something that deviates from the norm a bit.
A Void Hope has a great soundtrack and emotional story, but if you're expecting puzzles or platforming then you'll be sorely disappointed.
A Void Hope is one of those games that you want your friends to play through, so you can all talk about it later on. Platforming that has a great old-school SNES feel, with a story that is better shown than told. I found each level to be unique enough, especially when accompanied by the soundtrack, that I didn't feel like I was replaying the same level again and again. My only complaint is the need to replay some levels in order to fully clear such a short game harshes the vibe, but only a little. Play it when its dark or cloudy out, when you're in the mood to experience something with feeling; A Void Hope was clearly made with love.
A Void Hope has a good narrative hook, deviating just enough from the real world to keep players interested. The platforming and puzzle elements are well-designed, with a focus on giving players tools to make progress rather than delivering complex and difficult challenges.
A Void Hope is an enigmatic narrative adventure, technically impeccable that, although it suffers from some issues present in its gameplay, it is still enjoyable in its own way. However, the experience itself leaves a mixed feeling since it could have gone deeper in certain aspects. Despite this, the emotional charge of the story makes it a proposal that, in its own way, can be enjoyed.

A Void Hope is a captivating experience with an exemplary presentation but esoteric storytelling. I finished it days ago, and I’m still thinking about it. It’s been a long time since I’ve played a game that so thoroughly creeped me out. It is oppressive, claustrophobic, and chilling. It’s worth playing for that experience alone, even if the unknowable story leaves you answerless.
For an indie game that has so many ideas and potential, A Void Hope delivers a short, neat package that doesn’t invite replay or inquest. I can’t even tell if it has some kind of apolitical stance on diseases and vaccines because the dialogue is very dramatic and then just gets resolved without consequence. It’s got its moments, but there isn’t anything here that drives me to demand people play it.
