Little Kitty, Big City Reviews
Little Kitty, Big City is a cute and cosy game that makes you feel like a kitty, causing chaos to get home. The camera can be a pain, but the game is so sweet, you must play it!
Little Kitty, Big City is a purrfect addition to Xbox Game Pass and, in our view, is worth checking out if you have a subscription. If we've learned anything from our three hour romp through the city, it's that… we're glad humans have faces. Also that contributing to a circular economy by recycling cans is important. But most importantly, we affirmed what we thought we already knew: that being a silly cat is very good fun. This is the first ever release from Seattle-based developer Double Dagger Studio, and we think they should feel proud for delivering some much-needed, cat-shaped joy to Xbox.
From its cute collectible hats to its memorable and lighthearted game world, Little Kitty, Big City is bursting with charm and laidback fun.
Little Kitty, Big City is a wonderful kitty-sized adventure. The four hour experience gave me plenty of comical written moments, satisfying puzzles to complete, and a protagonist that was so endearing that they left my heart completely full. The end of the game also ends on such a beautiful and wholesome note that I just sat in my chair, gleamed at my real life black cat, and gave him a big ‘ol hug. Double Dagger Studio has made an absolute banger of a game and you should certainly pounce right in. You’re in for a treat.
Little Kitty Big City will certainly entertain those looking for this type of experience. My own cat was personally interested in the journey I took and was hyper-focused on many of this cat’s movements. The Untitled Goose Game approach certainly works and the game is extremely digestible that you can easily polish it off in a single day or a more casual weekend. If this is the start of a Little Kitty Big City franchise, then Double Dagger certainly has my attention and my time. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have a few more adorable hats to find and a city to explore.
The purr-fect game to play with kids
Despite the criticism, I have to admit: the game delivers what it promises. It's a light and fun experience for those who love kittens. So, answering my question at the beginning of the text, it is a well-intentioned cuteness that results in a fun experience. Don't expect the game to blow your mind with well-designed puzzles and platform challenges, but I think it's an interesting “break” between more intense games to enjoy something less ambitious.

While other games like Stray have dug deeper into the existential storytelling that playing as a cat can provide, nothing else has quite captured the whimsy and joy of a feline perspective like Little Kitty, Big City. For players who might be worried the fun goes by too quickly, this one has already been a blast to replay. This could become the cutest speedrunning game around, but it's just as easy to kick back and relax as you take charge of that city.
Little Kitty, Big City is not a perfect game by any means, but it just may be the right amount of purrrfect given the heart and love that it exudes. Kitty is a great game that shines due to its wonderful sense of exploration, charming art style and presentation, addictive and mischievous adventures, and generally polished Switch technical implementation. However, the light story and abrupt ending, often challenging camera, sometime imprecise jump controls, and lack of multiple save slots per playthrough detract from this enjoyment.
Little Kitty, Big City delivers exactly what you'd expect: a cozy game where you take on the role of a small cat in a big city. It's a simple and pure experience, perfect for moments when you want to relax without too much thought. Although the gameplay isn't particularly deep, the game still charms with its laid-back pace, cute characters, and colorful world. For players seeking a challenging experience or a competitive edge, this game might not be enough. But for those looking for a soothing and endearing experience, Little Kitty, Big City is definitely worth a try.

Little Kitty, Big City is the very definition of a cozy game. It’s about being a cat doing cat things and finding your way home after eating all the yummy fish and making friends with all the animals in the city. If you’re set on getting all the fish and getting the cat home, the game shouldn’t take more than two hours to finish. If you want to do everything there is to do, it’ll probably be closer to five hours.
As a whole, I think Little Kitty, Big City is really cute. It’s a fun little game that even managed to motivate me to get all of achievements for. It’s far from perfect, it’s definitely not going to be for everyone, but if you want something to play with your kid, or you just like games where you can be kind of annoying, then running around as a cat is perfect. If you want something thought provoking, I’m not sure why you read this far because the title of the game tells you almost everything there is to know about the game.
Little Kitty Big City is just such a charming game. It’s not just one of those “___ simulator” games where the funky physics are the point.
Little Kitty Big City is the perfect way to spend a cozy afternoon with a game tailormade for cat lovers.
Even taking into account the areas that should have been more polished in the game, there's no denying that Little Kitty, Big City is a pleasant surprise in the world of 3D adventures, delivering fun in a lighthearted experience, and manages to give off a feeling of adventure and fun that real life cats must feel in their trips around town.

Little Kitty, Big City is a game I will be sharing with my friends’ kids as it is accessible, fun, and beautiful. I will return to play the game right meow to complete the achievement list.
Little Kitty, Big City is a fun casual game that's just cute enough and crazy enough, and most importantly, packed full of great setpieces.

Little Kitty, Big City has appropriately-sized ambitions, as it manages to be both grounded and lofty, keeping the player’s eyes scanning the city for open windows, holes in fences, nooks and crannies in which to hide, and vent pipes to climb. Exploration and character interactions are a joy, and I look forward to Double Dagger Studios’ next creation.
Little Kitty, Big City is simple unlike other recent cat games to come out such as Stray, but sometimes simplicity makes for the best there is, especially when it’s as cute as can be . From its captivating art style to its endearing storyline, Little Kitty, Big City has all the elements that make for an unforgettable gaming experience. The game’s ability to blend humor, adventure, and heartwarming moments into a seamless and engaging package is a testament to the developers’ creativity and dedication. It is a perfect example of how indie games can offer rich, immersive experiences that rival those of major studio releases.
