Blue Prince Reviews
Blue Prince is fantastic and my favorite game of 2025 so far. It is clever beyond words, and the depths it goes to in its puzzle designs and narrative are staggering. A rough onboarding period and bouts of slow progress due to the random nature of its gameplay keep me from hailing this as a true masterpiece, but it isn’t far off. Blue Prince is so ingenious and unique in its design, creating an enthralling experience unlike any other, and something I know I will be thinking about for a long time.
A delicious puzzle-roguelike charms, but suffers from lack of save options.

In the end, Blue Prince is more than just one of the most creative games of 2025; it’s one of the best puzzle games in recent years. It proves that great gaming experiences don’t always need realistic graphics, massive open worlds, or endless cutscenes.
Blue Prince doesn’t hold your hand, and that’s exactly what makes it memorable. It asks for patience, curiosity, and a willingness to explore beyond the surface. Its strange, shifting mansion becomes more than a setting—it transforms into a psychological and symbolic journey. Every room carries meaning. Every decision echoes forward. Behind its clean visuals and quiet tone hides one of the most cleverly designed gameplay experiences of recent years. It rewards those who pay attention, those who think, and especially those who come back after failing. Whether you treat it as a mystery to solve or a coming-of-age tale in disguise, Blue Prince leaves a mark.
Blue Prince, thanks to its authorial flair, reminds us of a way of making video games that we thought had long since been forgotten by developers. Dogubomb's debut work is a clever blend of puzzle and roguelike, capable of making the player forget the freshness of its gameplay, thanks to a combination of narrative twists and game design solutions that consistently capture the attention and make the experience totally addictive. Whether you love the genre or not, if you speak English and are looking for a different experience, you should definitely try Blue Prince; you might never want to leave Mount Molly.

Blue Prince, the title from Dogubomb, is much more spectacular than we expected, and thanks to its original mechanics, it has positioned itself as the new benchmark for puzzle video games. Each completed puzzle feeds into others that are even bigger than the one surrounding the mystery of Room 46. The learning curve adapts to our pace and insight, and that's what makes the game so appealing.

Even now, I want to go start another run of Blue Prince. I have ideas floating around in my head and if I just draft the right room I’ll be on my way to unlocking more of the mysteries of this mansion. I’ve had more than a few late nights since starting this title, telling myself that I was on my last run but then instantly starting another once it ended. That’s what a great roguelike does to players and Blue Prince is certainly that, as well as a great puzzle game. Blue Prince constantly forced me to learn new things and work towards a wide variety of goals in a way which forced me to change my entire way of thinking about similar titles, even changing how I think about progression. It’s a masterpiece that players should run to play.
Blue Prince captivates you from the first moment, giving you ingenious puzzles and addictive roguelike exploration in a mysterious mansion.

To say that Blue Prince opened my mind would be disingenuous, but it certainly did challenge me in ways I hadn’t expected. This isn’t a game for everyone. Blue Prince demands that you meet it on its own terms, and while that can be a tall ask for a majority of players, I can promise you that it’ll be worth it.
Blue Prince is a never-ending rabbit hole, where solving one mystery reveals eight more to take care of. Its complexity might be weighed down by requiring a good grasp of English vocabulary or frustrating RNG. Or you might just lose your sanity as you attempt later puzzles.

Blue Prince asks players to look past the wire frame and into something more cohesive. Regardless of how many “Best Games of the Year” lists it makes it onto, it’s unlikely that anything else this confident and original will even be part of the conversation.
Blue Prince is a brilliant testament to how a clear, ambitious vision can transcend limitations—delivering a genre-blending, idea-rich experience full of secrets to uncover and puzzles to unravel

With its impressive puzzle design, intriguing lore, and relaxed pace, Blue Prince is a standout debut, easily standing shoulder-to-shoulder among the best adventure games of all time.
Blue Prince is a clever, combat-free roguelite packed with puzzles, secrets, and mystery. Its shifting mansion and layered mechanics make it a must-play for fans of exploration and discovery. If you count The Witness, Portal, and Myst among your favorite first-person puzzle games, then Blue Prince deserves its carved spot beside them.
Blue Prince is a master class in puzzle based rogue like storytelling, and it will leave players hungry for more during and after finishing the title.
Blue Prince is a subtle yet deeply satisfying puzzle game that invites you to slow down, think carefully, and unravel its mysteries one thoughtful step at a time, guiding you through a beautiful, tangled labyrinth of your own creation.
Blue Prince is an addictive game where you have to think carefully about which room you can give the most benefit. It is challenging, addictive and frustrating in one. Basic principle is simple, from A to B in as few steps as possible and as smoothly as possible. Because the principle is so simple, it is easy to pick up. Yet there is still a whole world around the villa and you will think in the game after every day: one more. Blue Prince is therefore a serious contender to become Game of the Year at the end of this year.

Blue Prince was an amazing puzzle/strategy that has me continuing to solve the mystery inside it. I love the clever ideas and puzzles that are either in your face or hidden away. Having me screenshot everything I come across to only use it when I feel like I have hit a wall is fun to me. It has scratched an itch that Professor Layton and Phoenix Wright left. I highly recommend this game to puzzle lovers and people who think RNG needs a good spanking after the abuse it put us through. I give Blue Prince the Thumb Culture Platinum Award.
