Blue Prince takes the roguelike formula, throws in DIY architecture, and manages to combine them to form a pretty impressive tale of intrigue and a very fun puzzler. The simple mechanics make a complex whole with great puzzles and reason to play run after run!

Blue Prince is among the most creative and intriguing games released recently. Although its randomness can lead to moments of frustration, it is precisely this unpredictability that fuels the player's curiosity to continue exploring the mansion's secrets. The sense of discovery present in even the smallest details and the achievement of solving its mysteries contribute to an engaging and surprisingly addictive gameplay.

Blue Prince is a fascinating game. The premise is enticing for those who like card-based board games, and the bits of randomization help the game feel difficult without being outright unfair about it. The slow trickle of story information might seem frustrating at first, but it helps give one motivation to keep going, especially when you solve a puzzle and everything starts to fall into place. Those who love environmental puzzle titles will get some real joy out of Blue Prince.

On the blueprint, Blue Prince is a simple title: You have a large mansion in which each door hides a decision. Choose between the three room options and create a path to the goal before the day ends and you have to start all over again. Its roguelike elements hide behind this simple proposal an ambitious puzzle game that can become unhinged, although if you manage to connect with it, it will drive you crazy with love.

Blue Prince is a unique experience that deserves to be experienced by every fan of puzzles and mysteries. Its recent arrival on the Switch 2 in a highly competent port is, above all, a reminder that video games can (and should) go beyond the basics, delivering true interactive works of art in the process. In the end, Dogubomb's work teaches a powerful message that deserves to be quoted: "Don't settle for following already trodden paths. Abandon a path when necessary, and go where you would like it to take you." You probably won't regret it.

The story that slowly emerges within this place is fascinating and captivating, keeping us engaged with clues and combinations for many hours. It’s a puzzle game that deeply penetrates the mind and remains excellent, even with its randomness. The game enchants you in every way. If you’re looking for a game with narrative, puzzles, and mysteries, this game is for you. Don’t worry if it’s demanding or not; it’s just right. The only drawback is that it’s not in Portuguese, only in English.

Blue Prince successfully transplants its architecturally shifting mystery to the Switch 2, proving that its "one-more-room" roguelite hook is a perfect fit for portable play. While the lack of mid-run saves is mitigated by sleep mode and the mouse implementation is slightly clunky, the game's striking cel-shaded logic puzzles and deep, layered lore remain as intellectually rewarding as ever.

One part puzzle game and one part roguelite, Blue Prince is a beacon of creativity and mystery. Masterful use of space, color, and the video game medium itself have concocted a beautiful blend of storytelling and puzzle solving.

Blue Prince presents a bold and enjoyable experiment, as long as we’re willing to accept its subverted core rules. Tonda Ros, the creator behind the game, set out with the primary goal of making something unlike anything seen before. I’m happy to report that he succeeded. After nearly ten years of development, the project manages to bring a fresh new color to the genre and earns a rightful place among its greatest representatives.

Blue Prince is not a game that seeks to entertain in the traditional sense. It asks for patience, observation, and a willingness to think. Progress comes through understanding, not mastery, and every step forward is earned through deduction rather than skill. Its strength lies in turning a single location into a living puzzle—one that rewards curiosity and persistence with moments of genuine intellectual satisfaction. This is not an experience built for everyone, but for those willing to engage on its terms, Blue Prince offers something rare: a quiet, lasting sense of discovery that stays with you long after you leave the villa.
