Party Hard is excruciatingly repetitive, and it's not helped by the fact that nothing you do in the game is actually fun. Most of the time you're just waiting for targets to isolate themselves, or setting off traps, which may sound exhilarating, but it's really not.
Party Hard is a very difficult game to recommend.
The environments are full of interactive objects which can be used to kill the party-goers, but in my view there are not nearly enough and some of them get repeated from level to level
The idea of becoming a party-hating Jason Voorhees is one that could work. Unfortunately though, far too much of Party Hard is spent waiting for something to happen, instead of letting players be the one who trigger the action.
Party Hard falls flat in execution and bores in some cases. It's a dour middle ground between a playground for murder and a puzzle: too restrictive in weapon / trap choice and infuriating to enjoy completely, and too simple and redundant to boggle the mind.
There are some things to like about Party Hard, but overall, the game feels like a half-baked experience that doesn't evolve beyond its basic premise.
Overall it's hard to recommend this game as it feels unpolished and very repetitive. I went in expecting some dark humor but it turned out to take itself too seriously as a game to do that.
Party Hard does have its merits with unlockable characters and extra challenges, but that's if you can deal with its technical problems and heinous difficulty. If that sounds like a party to you, have at it.
The overall presentation is well done too. It has the trappings of a fun, ridiculous game, but in the end, the game play is far too difficult and far too unforgiving for most people.
A lack of polish and a steep difficulty curve means that only the most patient of players will get the majority of enjoyment out of Party Hard.

Party Hard is seemingly a patch away from being a much better game. The stealth gameplay is satisfying, but a game can't be this difficult while also being unfair to the player. The technical issues that bring down publisher tinyBuild's latest game are disappointing and really tarnish a solid base.
Loading up the game for the soundtrack alone is worth it, and I won't deny that I quickly went online to find each of the tracks. Below the surface there isn't too much else to see with this title, so you will be done with it relatively quickly. Nonetheless, if going on a killing rampage while dancing the night away sounds like your kind of night out then it may be worth checking out.
It's not quite a lost weekend, and it's barely an all-nighter, but Party Hard manages to do its thing before the parents get home.
Party Hard is good clean fun, but that fun tends to devolve into waiting and tedium towards the end of any level. The core gameplay is an idea that can be expanded upon though, and the developer is already adding new content to the game to resolve the issue.
I am not sure if this is what Andrew W.K. had envisioned when he first sang Party Hard. Party Hard was a song about embracing the atmosphere and having fun at a party, but in a way this game has really embraced the song wholeheartedly in the most psychotic way possible.
Party Hard is a controversial stealth slasher game that aesthetically shadows much of Hotline Miami. It finds some of its own identity in places, and tries hard not to take itself very seriously. You’ll get the gist of gameplay in the first couple of levels, and then it starts to feel like a monotonous grind.
If you're a fan of games with senseless violence, then Party Hard could be for you. The pixel art style is nice and the music is quite catchy. The gameplay however, gets repetitive quickly and the story is full of clichés, which would be easier to accept if there was a decent delivery of lines. It is a cool idea for a game, it's just a shame it fails to do much more than be a cool idea.
Party Hard is a fun, addictive, and cleverly outlandish game that perfectly balances mindless murder and strategic assassination. If you won't mind the violence and the skip-worthy story, it's more than worth a play-through (or twelve).
