Star Wars: Galactic Racer Reviews
Ultimately, Star Wars: Galactic Racer surprised me. I expected an enjoyable Star Wars racing game, but what I got was something with far more depth, progression, and staying power than I anticipated. The roguelike campaign structure occasionally gets in the way of its surprisingly ambitious story, the similarities between tracks on individual planets can become noticeable, and some of the walking sections feel unnecessary from a gameplay perspective. None of those issues change the fact that the actual racing is exceptional.
Star Wars: Galactic Racer is an almost unique title in the gaming landscape thanks to its mix of roguelite and racing, and for this alone it deserves a try. Whether you are Star Wars fans or lovers of speed and adrenaline, it has everything it takes to keep you glued to the screen for hours. If you can't stand roguelites and their punishing structure, though, it won't change your mind and may often lead to frustration.

Star Wars: Galactic Racer is uncommonly good in a number of categories. It has a raw yet polished racing feel and sense of speed, bringing racing back to the Star Wars universe in a big way and iterating on how it all functions in ways that encourage player expression and experimentation. Most importantly, I've just been having so much damn fun, smiling ear to ear each race and growling in frustration when I come up short.
