Critic Reviews for SiN Reloaded
It was a fun trip down memory lane, but this release won’t be resurrecting the franchise.
SiN Reloaded was awesome for its time. It has solid shooting, unique gameplay sections, and a fantastic story presentation. It’s a very basic boomer shooter by modern standards though.
SiN Reloaded finally delivers the polished experience Ritual Entertainment envisioned back in 1998. Nightdive Studios rescues this cult shooter with sharp 4K visuals, updated controls, and rich bonus content across both the base game and expansion. Confusing level navigation and dated enemy AI occasionally derail the momentum, but thunderous gunplay and cheesy action movie charm make this remaster a genuine treat for retro FPS fans.
SiN Reloaded retains the core of the original: expansive levels, alternate paths, terminals to use, and choices that can impact subsequent missions.

As usual, Nightdive knocks it out of the park by revitalizing classic titles with enhanced visuals, gameplay improvements, and accessibility. From a gameplay perspective, SiN Reloaded is a decent shooter bursting with personality, but it has a problem standing out among the pack.
SiN: Reloaded, from developer Nightdive Studios and publisher Atari, is a solid return to an older FPS experience. It improves upon the genre’s evolved design without trying to push beyond its original release’s intentions.
Sin was never a great game. Beneath all its flaws, though, Ritual Entertainment’s creation had something worth saving: ambition, personality, and the unmistakable feeling of a team eager to push the technology and do things differently. It also had plenty of cheese. No, Sin Reloaded isn’t a completely new game, but that was never its intention. It’s the same uneven, strangely memorable experience - only now one can enjoy it in 4K and pretend that was what was missing all along.
