Steins;Gate 0 has just one fault, which is that you need to play the first game in the series to fully appreciate the story, the character progression, the new twist on some of the protagonists. Apart from this, we're talking about one of the best script in recent memory, and a high quality visual novel for both Vita and Ps4 owners.

Steins;Gate 0 is one of the best stories the visual novel genre has to offer, and stands as a worthy sequel to its critically-acclaimed predecessor.

Although the darker themes may throw fans, Steins;Gate 0 tells a grand tale that fans of the series will still enjoy immensely due to how well the characters and story as a whole are written.

For my part, Steins;Gate 0 probably will not be joining that list of all-time greats. But I am glad to have played it. I’ll speak fondly about many parts in the years to come, even if the completed puzzle isn’t the picture I was hoping it would be. Maybe check it out sometime.

Ultimately, Steins;Gate 0 is a novel. A rather good novel, with interesting, unique, and ironically very 'human' characters, but a novel nonetheless, so you're enjoyment will be dependant on how much you like the storyline, although I can say I really enjoyed it.

Despite not having much interaction with the player, Steins;Gate 0 is an enjoyable experience with an enthralling and clever storyline that can keep you up thinking about it all night.

Steins;Gate 0 is essential for fans of the original and a fascinating experience for newcomers. A great continuation of the classic virtual novel and anime world, it's not a format for everyone, but if you have the patience for leisurely paced sci-fi, then this is a worthy investment.

While the game is incredibly gripping, be prepared to read through thousands of words to get to the heart of it.

Steins;Gate 0 is an easy recommendation… it is a well-written adventure, with a great sense of tension and brilliantly-written characters.

A alternative story Steins;Gate story, one that is every bit as good as the original . Although the plot can drag on at times, its conclusion is a very satisfactory one. If you’ve played the first Steins;Gate or watched the anime, then I strongly recommend experiencing this version of rich events.

There should be no reason to miss out on Steins;Gate 0 for anyone who played the first title. It might not have quite the same impact as Steins;Gate, but it succeeds in telling a fascinating story, delving into intriguing and poignant subjects of our time, and excellently developing the characters involved. Whilst it does go on a bit longer than it probably should do, many fans will find this to be a positive, as it's a universe impossible to let go of.

Steins;Gate 0 could be better. It could be shorter and do more to explain the complicated parts of its story. However, it's the follow up to one of the best visual novels out there. It contains the same awesome characters (and minimizes the impact of the annoying ones) and puts them through serious trauma until they come out the other end. It’s a tougher read than Steins;Gate, but you should persevere until you reach the other side. The reward is worth it and I cannot wait to see where this story goes next.

The game actually starts really slow but the more you play it, the more you get involved with the lives of the characters. Once you are done with your first playthrough, it keeps you wanting more to stop you from wondering what really happened or what did you do wrong. It is an enjoyable game from start to finish and you'd want to unlock all the possible endings just so you can get the whole story.

Fans will be satisfied with how the tale running through Steins;Gate 0 is told with a narrative that rarely stands still in the present without coming off confusing.

Although an important piece of the story that sets up the true ending to Steins;Gate, it wouldn't be an absolute disaster for fans to brush over this one. The character writing is excellent, and the concepts and effects of AI in this world are intriguing, but the fact the story drags itself out for so long means it can be tough to get through this novel. Thankfully, quick saves and the very fact this is portable by nature help to make getting through much easier by picking it up for a bit before bed each night.

Steins;Gate 0 would be excellent if it was about one-fifth of its length, but its constant missteps make it difficult to recommend to any but the most ardent Steins;Gate fans.

Visual novel with an inexistent gameplay even for its genre. Only recommended for those who played the original game.
