DiRT 4 Reviews
Overly simple and, sadly, boring game with minimum amount of game modes. In comparison with DiRT Rally, Codemasters took a step back. DiRT 4 is not a simulator, but is sure as hell trying to look like it.

There are so many modes, races, and details hidden in this game that it will keep you busy for a long time. Once you start to master the modes, or if for some reason you find things are too easy, you can tune the difficulty and increase the challenge for the game. There is a lot to love in the game, and I couldn't put it down after playing for hours. It was always “just one more race”, until it was two in the morning. I'm forcing myself to put it down! If you like racing games, then you have to play DiRT 4!
Dirt 4 offers the complete arcade racing experience for the casuals while also providing the hardcore fans with a variety of options that should satisfy them.
DiRT 4 really does succeed in extrapolating new things from two different sides of the driving spectrum. The 'Your Stage' procedural track generator really does feel like a revelation, which will ensure that drivers remain on their toes even after clocking countless hours already. As stated, it's remarkable what this can do for drivers if they're willing to adapt and learn, and certainly helps to cultivate technical understanding and development. A more in-depth follow-up review on the PC version will be coming soon, but there's no doubt about it: DiRT 4 is one of the most exciting driving releases this year. A much-celebrated brand comes back with a bang.
DiRT 4 delivers a great rally experience, specially with the different racing types including Rallycross. Some visuals are not what we can expect in the current generation, but the driving experience is great. Also, Codemasters did a great job adding a tool that helps you randomize routes and tracks, so basically you can have unlimited tracks to race on.

Excellent. If you're a fan of rally and want an accessible game, go out and buy it. If you want DiRT Rally's level of simulation with more to do, go out and buy it.
Overall, Dirt 4 delivers unforgettable moments for the fans and racing enthusiasts, the experience that the game gives you is like you're actually driving the car itself. Winning is also satisfying, not because you're fast, but you're skilled. You also need to be smart on how to drive your car in different situations, and you must always listen to your co-driver. Dirt Rally was a success but Dirt 4 gives you more what Dirt Rally is lacking. If you're looking for a racing game that gives you challenges and test your skills, then Dirt 4 is your game.
DiRT 4 has hit the bullseye. Once again, Codemasters have shown us that they are racing games masters. If you're looking for a rally game, stop right here, DiRT 4 is the right choice.

Dirt 4 was a really enjoyable experience. It’s a very good mixture of gameplay options and playability.
A troubled game, that tries a few too many things and ends up weaker for it. Though the Rally racing at its heart is great once you strip away the Career and judge yourself based on the AI.
If you’re looking for a new racer that feels different from the likes of Forza and Gran Turismo, but don’t mind a bit of a learning curve, DiRT 4 is definitely worth checking out. Between the time based rallies and actual racing events, Codemasters continues to prove why they are one of the best in the racing game business with DiRT 4.
Dirt 4 has one of the best career modes you'll see in the racing genre, at times closer to the do-whatever-you-want elements of Forza Horizon than the franchised motorsports games it seems outwardly more similar to. If you're a real stickler for speed and technical challenge you'll probably enjoy the 'proper' rally cars more than I did, but the beauty of it is that you can progress your career however the hell you want, which is delightful.
Dirt 4 lets you throw cars around narrow tracks at high speeds, it allows you to pit your machinery and wit against the world, it lets you blaze a trail of glory across the world and put your team in the spotlight. Dirt 4 is the embodiment of what we want, and remember, motor racing to be.
In short, we have to say that DiRT 4 is really a good title, perhaps what we expected from Codemasters, which certainly offers a good compromise between simulation and arcade. The title more than being a mere successor to DiRT 3, seems to be more on the line of DiRT Rally, which will surely make the eyes of the enthusiasts glitter.

We may be half-way through 2017 already, but DiRT 4 has most certainly set the bar for the genre this year and it sits firmly in pole position.
DiRT 4 developed by Codemasters is the sequel to DiRT Rally, although it feels more like a lovechild between DiRT Showdown and Colin McRae Rally (2013). The game brings a lot of what fans enjoyed in DiRT Rally and builds on that with brilliant additions.
DiRT 4 takes a few steps back from DiRT Rally, adds too much emphasis on an uninteresting career mode and fails to find a common ground between arcade and simulation.

Despite an average graphical game, DiRT 4 is still a great off-road racing experience, with great playing sensations and a real attention to details. Some will reproach it with too easy gameplay, but it is obvious that this DiRT 4 was made to appeal to everyone, unlike the previous games, dedicated exclusively to the hardcore fans of the franchise.
Codemasters is one of the most respected racing developers, with reason! DiRT 4 is a fantastic racing experience for newcomers and hardcore fans. It has so much content, you will be playing this for months and months!
Codemasters still run the rally genre playground!
