Aqua Kitty UDX Reviews
All told, Aqua Kitty UDX is a simple, satisfying arcade shooter that looks as great as it plays. It takes one concept, offers a few different angles on it, and ensures it fulfills all that it sets out to do. We'd give this one a strong recommendation to anyone looking for a game that's easy to pick up and play, this is pure, arcade fun. This is also a one trick pony, though, which means that those of you that aren't big on score chasing games will want to steer clear. Even so, Aqua Kitty UDX is a game that exemplifies the concept of less is more; we'd encourage you to give this one a look.
A remarkable 2D shooter featuring adorable kittens. Shooting and fun without brake. You have to save those milk at all costs!

AQUA KITTY UDX: Xbox One Ultra Edition is a game that provides plenty of content for a game of its size, but ultimately won't keep you going for hours on end.
The unusual premise is just one of several elements at play but overall, this is a fun and enjoyable game with fine-tuned controls that is set to provide some good times to its players, unless they are looking for a more hardcore and demanding experience, in which case Aqua Kitty UDX will feel rather limited.

As a cute callback to classic arcade shooters, Aqua Kitty UDX has it moments, especially with its intense and addictive Dreadnought mode. But unless you are someone who adores the genre and has a knack for high scores, then there really isn't much depth to keep your eyes glued for long.
AQUA KITTY UDX won’t appeal to all, but that would be a huge shame. It’ll whisk you back to the golden age of arcade games, before hitting you smack in the face with its modern day feel, bringing enjoyment that very few other side scrolling shooters can manage. Each and every year, an indie title pops up and wows me. Here, in 2017, AQUA KITTY is that title.
Aqua Kitty UDX is a robust arcade shooter with an adorable cat aesthetic. The game offers a good level of challenge and chaos to keep you on your toes. It's let down slightly by some uninspired backgrounds but offers lots of fun on the Nintendo Switch.
With multiple gameplay modes, difficulty settings, co-op and leaderboards, there is a lot of content in Aqua Kitty UDX. This is the type of game that screenshots and videos don’t do justice, you need to get your hands on it to really appreciate how fun it is. Fans of shmups will enjoy the challenging yet rewarding gameplay.
In the end, I enjoyed Dreadnought Mode but found Normal/Arcade Mode to be uninspiring. If you need an underwater bullet-hell shooter, Aqua Kitty UDX should scratch that itch.
Aqua Kitty UDX is a significant step up from previous iterations.
Amazing side-scrolling shoot-em-up
If you enjoy arcade shoot ‘em up games, Aqua Kitty UDX is an amusing title to have in your library that’ll test not only your maneuvering skills but also your shooting. Even with minor issues about the menu screen popping up during battle and lack of online co-op, the game is worth your time. The milk must flow!
Overall the game is fun and doesn't take it's self too seriously, but provides a challenge that even older players would find difficult to beat regardless of their years of practice, leaving the to metaphorically kick the cat. This is one game that I won't paws to pick up again and it thoroughly deserves a cushion in front of the fire.
Aqua Kitty UDX does one thing really well and it sticks with it from beginning to end. The upbeat music and jolly visuals go hand in hand with that sentiment as while they’re a pleasure to behold at first, you’ll slowly start to feel like you’ve seen it all. Perhaps it’s a good thing the game ends so soon as any longer and this Kitty might have just fallen to the bottom of the ocean. It’s by no means an unenjoyable game – quite the opposite in fact – but there are just other games out there that do more interesting things with the genre. Those games may not feature underwater cats but contrary to what the internet may have you believe… cats don’t always make everything better.
Developer Tikipod can be damn proud for making this cat diving shooter.
Overall I only have positive things to say about Aqua Kitty UDX. It has a focus on a specific experience, delivers it effectively, and provides a reasonable progression of challenge across its diverse modes. While it won’t likely have much appeal outside of people who are arcade-style shooting fans it is also probably more friendly for acting as an introduction to the genre than other more hardcore choices on the Switch. Well worth checking out and it has a very reasonable price to boot!
The Xbox One version is easily the best version of the game to-date. The duo over at Tikipod Ltd. have crafted yet another fine version of the game with a new mode: Dreadnought, that freshens it up enough to warrant another purchase. For new players, the reasons have always been there, but now there are more reasons to purchase Aqua Kitty.
