The second episode of Telltale's Guardians of the Galaxy series takes on a slower pace with more focus on characters (and drama).

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series – Episode Two ‘Under Pressure’ doesn’t feel as impactful as the first episode from both an action and storyline perspective, but it does enough to keep players entertained throughout it’s roughly hour and a half run-time. Seeing this deeper look into Rocket Racoon’s past was quite enlightening and I’m intrigued to see how it affects the story down the line – even if it did minimal to progress it right now. I’d probably say I preferred the Episode One over Under Pressure, though only just. The lack of new locations to see and actual exploration was pretty obvious, whilst some of the flaws remained the same here too. That doesn’t mean I didn’t enjoy playing through it though and I’m still eagerly excited to see what comes next in the series.

Telltale's Guardians of the Galaxy series continues with Under Pressure, the second of five planned episodes, and while it is competent and features a bit of Rocket lore, it still lacks that Guardians flair James Gunn has perfected in his live action films featuring the same characters.

Much better than the first, episode two features better pacing and more time being given to the supporting characters. I'm now excited to see where things go for the series.

Under Pressure provides more of the same with plenty of room for improvement.

The second episode is better paced and more engaging than the opener, but still struggles under its own technical limitations

Under Pressure transitions us off of the high-tempo radio hit that was the season opener and into a more relaxed slow jam punctuated with some meaty action riffs. The slower drip of meaningful events meant I didn't come off of it with the same level of feelgood euphoria I had after finishing Tangled Up in Blue, but Telltale is still doing an excellent job adapting this eccentric hero team to its tried-and-true format - particularly when the focus is on developing the characters and the relationships between them.

Under Pressure is a great follow up and it looks like Telltale finally found the perfect balance between comedy and emotion and thanks to that cliff hanger of an ending, I can't wait to see what they have for us in Episode 3.

Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy - Episode 2: Under Pressure continues what the first episode began, putting together an interesting tale about a group of misfits who are as often their own worst enemies as they are best friends to one another. Still, the quirky but lovable collection of characters helps to carry what has been only an average story so far, while demonstrating that there is plenty of potential to be had here in the upcoming chapters.

Under Pressure keeps the story flowing and the jams pumping as Telltale provides a rare look at one of the Guardians' upbringings. The hit-or-miss humor and standard technical malfunctions are still on full display, but the strong storytelling helps keep the season moving forward as the dysfunctional space crew keep searching for answers.

It may not have you pausing your game and thinking over decisions quite like The Walking Dead did, but Guardians of the Galaxy constantly emanates feel-good vibes, reminiscent of Tales from the Borderlands. While I'm not convinced it'll ultimately live up to Rhys, Fiona and Loaderbot's escapades (my own personal favorite series), for sheer enjoyment, it's shaping up to come mighty close.

Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series - Episode 2 is another great episode from the developer. It's better than the first episode in a lot of ways, but still has troubling technical problems that detract from the fun.

In the beginning it seems as if Telltale is struggling to find their groove, stumbling a bit before regaining focus.

I loved it so much and it managed to immerse me perfectly into the atmosphere of the guardians. The humor was on par where it could be, there were sentimental moments, enough action and all in all a very nice balance of all elements. I cannot wait to play the next episode and see the big reveal that we found at the end of episode 2.

Episode Two ‘Under Pressure’ builds upon the opening episode and then some; it has drama, tension, action and heartbreak, so everything you want from a Telltale Games product.

Under Pressure veers away from the main story of TellTale’s Guardians to focus on Rocket Raccoon’s backstory, with surprisingly poignant and successful results.

While it’s still one of the more outright comedies in the Telltale oeuvre, Guardians’ story is one of grief and loss and regret.

There are still plenty of reasons to tune in to Telltale's Guardians, but this is a B-side rather than a hit single.
