Packing both a management and an exploration component, Ever Oasis will keep players busy and entertained for very long hours thanks to its progression, fun combat and variety of enemies that will be encountered throughout its well extended moments. While the exploration component may not live up to the entirety of its expectations, this is still a very enjoyable game that will absorb its players into very dense moments.

Ever Oasis is one of the pleasant surprises of the summer, delivering a fun action RPG with an extra helping of city building and oodles of charm. It leans a bit on the easy side and gathering can get a bit grindy in the first half of the game. Overall, though, it hits a lot of the right spots, especially for fans of old-school action RPGs. It's essentially one of those games that you didn't know you wanted until you play it.
In Ever Oasis, melding a city-builder with a hack and slash adventure has never looked more adorable. While visually and narratively enticing, the Animal Crossing meets Zelda concept is never fully satisfying, instead giving brief joy to specific types of players, and begging for a sequel to bring every genre together perfectly.
Inconspicuous mixture of build-up and Action-JRPG, which surprises with great battles and a lot of scope.

Ever Oasis proves that the six year old handheld still has the potential to pump out some great content, while also being one of Koishi Ishii's best works. Even if you haven't heard of the game befor3 this review, I urge you to check Ever Oasis out, especially if you are a fan of city builders or Zelda-style games.
Ever Oasis isn't just a brilliant adventure, it's also one that's come at the right place and the right time. For 3DS RPG fans, who've had an unthinkably rich array of JRPG greats to choose from over the system's lifespan, Ever Oasis is a nice reminder that there's still plenty of room for innovation on the six-year-old handheld. Its addictive main gameplay loop, fun combat, amazing (and truly different) sense of style, and kindhearted nature make it feel like nothing else; though it reminds us of Rune Factory 4, Animal Crossing, Tri Force Heroes, and Final Fantasy Explorers in turn, this really is its own experience, and one we'd recommend to any action-RPG aficionado.
Ever Oasis is a tricky game to describe succinctly. Combining multiple different game styles into one is no easy task and, for the most part, Ever Oasis does an admirable job of at least coming close to achieving its lofty ambition. There's so much to do it can feel a little overwhelming at first but the game does a great job guiding you through, especially for younger gamers.
Even though it released in a year full of major blockbusters, this little game ended up stealing my heart.
Ever Oasis is a refreshing action-RPG with a surprising amount of gameplay depth and variety. By stitching together swatches of different gameplay genres and inspirations, Grezzo has crafted an impressive title with an engaging world and satisfying gameplay loop. Its music and graphics are cute, but its gameplay is refined. After finishing off this adventure, I cannot wait to see what Grezzo's next step will be!
Despite a few flaws, Ever Oasis is already a game which has much to offer to the player and has a huge potential. Intelligent and showing some nice gameplay ideas, beautiful and realising an uncommon heat, the mix between oasis management and Action-RPG fits very well. The title really has the possibility to lead way to a hypothetical sequel and becoming a new Nintendo franchise. We only regret that the game comes on a 3DS which is at the end of its lifespan.

In Ever Oasis you're trying to make your oasis grow, and as you do, so does your strength, and your relationships. It's a straight-forward, simple action RPG that takes some inspirations from Harvest Moon and The Legend of Zelda, but none of those are a bad thing. Ever Oasis feels distinct and unique enough to be its own, strong title – if you haven't abandoned your 3DS for the Switch yet, Ever Oasis is yet another great 3DS game.
Ever Oasis features a charming aesthetic that begins with the character designs and continues through to the Oasis and even the dungeons.
You can spend your time in Ever Oasis if you do not mind a simple combat system, an emphasis on management of resources and at the end of the game - grind. Interesting puzzles in the dungeons, nice characters and symbolism enrich the overall concept, but in the second half of game I often catched myself thinking that what is happening on the screen gradually begins to make me bored, even despite the powerful atmosphere and visual performance.

I like Ever Oasis a lot, and while it doesn't reach the level of "future classic" like Persona 4 or Okami, it fits the bill perfectly as a closer for the Nintendo 3DS and its impressive run. If Nintendo drops a few more hits like this in our laps over the next year, I'll be happy to keep my 3DS in rotation.
As a new game from the developers of The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D, Ever Oasis delivers an enjoyable, yet flawed, title for Nintendo 3DS players to get lost in.
Ever Oasis offers a surprising amount of content in a fun, accessible game. Challenging yet forgiving battle mechanics mean that beginners can hack and slash away, while masters can focus on strategy and speed running. A diverse cast of characters with numerous abilities encourages playing with diverse parties, and the warp system enables lots exploration, creating replayability while making long slogs across maps a thing of the past. Easy to pick up, hard to put down, and overflowing with features, Ever Oasis really is a diamond in the desert.
Unlike the deserts that surround your civilisation, Ever Oasis is far from barren.
Ever Oasis is a perfect blend of management simulator and action-RPG. Despite being on a handheld, this deep RPG's stylish presentation and many gameplay systems come together in a way that few games do.
