Danganronpa V3 delivers what fans of the series want, which is more Danganronpa. A text-heavy game centered on high school students killing each other certainly won’t be for everybody. If you loved the previous entries in the series and its mix of eclectic characters, however, you’re going to love this one to death as well.

The Danganronpa formula feels like it's starting to get a little stale, but it still manages to pose interesting moral quandaries with a large dose of black humour and anime style weirdness.

There are not many superlatives that does not stick to Danganronpa V3 : Killing Harmony. This third instalment in the series is more extreme, more meta, more amazing in its storyline, even if the core gameplay suffers from reals changes to surprise the old students. Unless the visual novel genre or its japanese style makes you want to run away, Danganronpa V3 : Killing Harmony is worth the school trip.

Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony's murder cases aren't the series' best, but they lead to a stunning ending.

Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony is everything I love about the franchise: getting to know a group of interesting and crazy characters, ultimately having to watch my favourites die off in horrible ways, investigating complex crime scenes, and getting the final clue to the case to find the murderer. Oh, and of course, the lovable psychopath that is Monokuma. However, this is the third entry into a franchise that already feels like it’s retreading too much familiar ground and not doing enough new, or to move the series forward.

DanganRonpa V3 is a great visual novel, but doesn't renew its formula. The fans of the series will be delighted. Finding the sadistic bear again with its children along is always a pleasure, especially since the game has numerous new developments in its scenario. We would have liked a slightly better general direction for the PS4, and a french translation with less mistakes and above all, no annoying glitches for now. However, we hope that they will be corrected when the game will be released in stores.

Twists and turns are sprinkled deliberately, with information paced to support them without giving too much away. Honestly, V3 is best experienced as fresh as possible.

Danganronpa V3 is more than a simple visual novel. It's a game that superbly outlinesa microcosm artfully prepared by the developers; the third episode of a mature and fascinating series, Able to dealing with strong themes and a great sense of irony. A small pearl that should push you to look prequel and play the whole saga.

Danganronpa V3: Killiing Harmony not only gives fans more of the Danganronpa they know and love, but it elevates the series to new heights and leaves old players scratching their heads and reeling in shock at the twists the story takes.

I have been a fan of the Dangranonpa games since experiencing the very first episode on my PlayStation Vita. The first game was better than the two subsequent ones in my opinion, but all of them were enjoyable in a dark and twisted kind of way. I expected more of the same with Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony - a quality adventure game that never quite reaches the heights of the original. So imagine my surprise when this game exceeded my already high expectations and manages to be every bit as memorable as the first game in the series was for me.

If you're a series fan, and still have a strong stomach, Danganronpa V3 can't come any more highly recommended. If you haven't experienced the franchise yet, now's the time to jump in…but start with the first game.

If you enjoy visual novels, dark humour or puzzle solving then you can easily sit down and get lost in it (it took me 56 hours to complete my playthrough of this) and I can't recommend it enough. The graphical style won't be for everyone, but for me it fits in with the previous games and the whole comic book/graphic novel style it is trying to pull off.

Ultimately, Danganronpa V3 doesn't add too much new to the series. But that's okay – it doesn't need to reinvent the wheel when the wheel we already have still rolls out eclectic characters and shocking moments so reliably. It's a great rollercoaster of hope and despair with a climax that made me sit back and think about everything that just happened. The road to the end of Danganronpa V3 is long and twisted, but the ride is well worth it.

Danganronpa is completely silly, deranged, weird, terrifying, awful, ironic, depressing, hopeful, wonderfully written, emotional and engrossing. It's an experience you absolutely need to try as blind as possible.

At its core this is Danganronpa no doubt about it. Like DR2, the highs are incredibly high, and the lows are incredibly low. In this scenario though, the developers took everything about the series and just cranked it up to the next level.

Despite the series setting some serious high standards in previous games, Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony manages to exceed them in almost all facets of design. The story is exciting and full of twists, the Class Trials are spiced up with some all-new features, whilst it also happens to be the best looking game in the series so far – seriously, it’s just brilliant. Whilst I’m not sure it’ll be the case for everyone, for me Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony has earned its place as my favourite entry in the series. Its brilliant combination of bizarre murder mysteries mixed with a great variety of different gameplay elements made for a fascinating experience that I simply loved being a part of.

Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony takes the best ideas in the series, runs wild with them, and manages to create a new killing game that still feels fresh while satisfying fans. The production values are the highest in the series, and, even though the game takes a little longer to get going, the journey and final conclusion are amazing. Although I would not recommend it to someone new to the series, if you have enjoyed Danganronpa games in the past, this one should not be missed.

I've been excited for and anticipating Danganronpa V3 for a long time, and after playing it,  I can say it was absolutely worth it. Danganronpa V3 is an impressive culmination of nearly 8 years of twists, turns, heart-breaks, and murders, and is an amazing entry in a consistently well-written and addictive franchise.
