Infinite Minigolf is another solid arrival on the Switch eShop, and most importantly adds to the steadily growing variety of genres and themes on the store. It does a very nice job of delivering over-the-top, entertaining minigolf, with plenty of official and user-created content to keep players busy. The downsides are slightly baffling systems and a crowded user interface, and the fact that some less experienced gamers may find the required precision for shots a little too demanding. Overall, however, this one is definitely under par - in a good way.

Infinite Minigolf sets out to do what it aims to do by giving you the tools to make the minigolf courses of your dreams, but while it's good to make, it just isn't fun to play.

Infinite Minigolf shows a lot of promise, but in its current state it's bland. Apart from the course creator, there's just nothing here that stands out from other minigolf titles. Zen has always been good about supporting their offerings after release, and I'm hopeful Infinite Minigolf will continue to receive updates to improve the experience. As it is, it's a decent time, but hard to recommend if you're not excited by the prospect of making your own courses.

Infinite Minigolf lacks the gameplay variety and polish to take it to the top of the party tower. It's mostly solid and dependable fun, but it only really comes to life in local multiplayer, so just don't buy this game if you haven't got any friends who like to visit.

Ultimately, though, my complaints are relatively small given the appeal of the whole package. As a casual pick-up-and-play experience, Zen Studios' latest obviously isn't going to set your world on fire, but it does what it does very well. The core mechanics are solid and contain just enough variation to keep things exciting, and the progression system provides just enough incentive to keep you busy across all the different modes. A little polish and pizazz on the visual front would have gone a long way here, but again, it's good for what it is. If you're looking for a fun take on the pastime, Infinite Minigolf is a pleasant, surprisingly addictive little game.

The gameplay is so good, with intuitive controls that never get in the way. The fanciful courses are a joy to experience, and there's an endless supply of them to boot. Despite the room for improvement, the core game is good enough to make this an easy recommendation for fans of arcade-style golf.

Most aspects of the game come with caveats, but none of them go to lengths that unforgivably diminish its entertainment value. Fans of local or online multiplayer games, especially those that can be as casual or competitive as you want them to be, owe it to themselves to check out Infinite Minigolf.

Infinite Minigolf is a lovable, lighthearted game that doesn't take itself too seriously and will definitely be supported heavily by its community and their created stages. With a lot to unlock and plenty to do, this makes for a great way to unwind either playing solo, online or side by side with a friend as you out-putt each other to victory.

There is a huge amount of content on offer here, helped by a creator community that seems to be doing a mostly great job of keeping new courses coming. But even without the created courses, Infinite MiniGolf still has a wide array of content to keep you entertained for ages, and with great local or online multiplayer, playing with friends is an absolute joy.

Infinite Minigolf provides the tools needed to cultivate an endless arcade game – it just needs the algorithms required to ensure that its one you'll actually want to play forever. The core golf here is fun, and the pre-designed courses show that there's potential for some great puzzle-like levels. It's now down to the imagination of users to wield the title's intuitive Course Editor to create some high-quality stages – and the title itself to ensure that they get promoted ahead of the inevitable procession of low-effort Bogeys.

Infinite Minigolf has very realistic ball physics and a control system that is extremely precise - so precise that it can even put off less experienced players, as it takes some time to get used to. Its lack of motion controls is also difficult to understand but Infinite Minigolf has plenty going for it, including its potentially endless lifespan.

While the VR component ends up a little "pin high", the overall package is well worth it. The powerful editor and community component extend the game's longevity dramatically, and are a welcome feature amidst a solid title. Whether you are a kid, or just a kid at heart, Infinite Minigolf's charm is sure to lure you in.

Infinite Golf is great as „simplified golf with power-ups”. It's hard to find anything better in this genre on PS4.

In the end, Infinite Minigolf is a simple, engaging little title that will keep you entertained for hours on end. While it mightn't provide the endless experience its title claims to provide, its price point should be enough to forgive it. Optional virtual reality (VR) on PS4 with PlayStation VR and PC with Oculus Rift, HTC Vive doesn't hurt either, though we weren't able to test these options on Xbox One.

Like Wii Sports, Micro machines, or 1-2-Switch, Infinite Minigolf is incredibly easy to play with virtually no skill barrier. If you can click a couple of buttons you can play against friends and that is where this game really shines. Beating your own record, or watching a faceless opponents ball scurry off into the distance is satisfying, but there is nothing quite like swapping insults and game pads with your friends during an overtly competitive round. Infinite Minigolf is not incredibly difficult, it is not a sprawling adventure of epic proportions, it is a good time with friends in the comfort of your own front room and that is why I’ll pick it up time and again.

I really wasn't expecting to be taken as much as I was with Infitite Minigolf. With its cutesy visuals, fun gameplay and strong editing features and customisation options, I couldn't help but constantly smile and enjoy myself during my time with it.

Whilst there isn’t really much to the gameplay aspect of Infinite Minigolf, it must be said that the simplicity throughout only helps to make the game even more addictive.

Infinite Golf lives up to its name as there are infinite possibilities thanks to the Editor and its course creation tools. With so many players in all platforms contributing more and more courses for the game, you could spend years playing new courses every single day! This is a game I highly recommend, and which will hopefully soon be even better once Zen Studios adds support for PS Move controllers.
