A game that shows it's age on regards to it's mechanics, but one that still is as beautiful as 36 years ago.

Despite the dated, simple, yet sometimes challenging gameplay, the drive to see Dirk’s and Ace’s adventures through is what makes these games great.

As games, the titles in Dragon Lair Trilogy are awful, but as interactive experiences, they still have some value.

I highly recommend that you get Dragon's Lair Trilogy. If you were a fan of the games back in the day you're going to love the HD versions and all the extras on the trilogy which give you a look at some of the behind the scenes work that went into building them. I loved to play the games in the arcade, and having them at home on PlayStation 4 brought back some great memories.

Dragon's Lair Trilogy is a solid collection on PlayStation 4 that you need to get, especially if you're a fan of the three games in this set, a fan of animation, or if you're looking for a type of game that we don't usually get a chance to play in current generation system.

This trilogy of cult arcade classic is still visually charming, but the gameplay of these games didn't aged that well.

Dragon's Lair Trilogy is a good game, but it is too short. For those who had the opportunity to play them in the arcades, it is worthy given the great nostalgia feeling it brings. If you never had the chance to play the trilogy, do it because the fun is guaranteed.

Starting with the original you’ll play as Dirk the Daring, on a quest to save the lovely (and a bit inappropriately sexy perhaps) Princess Daphne from an evil dragon...

Being that these games came out as a novelty for the sole purpose of draining quarters, these are beyond brutal, almost to a ridiculous degree in the case of the two Dragon’s Lair titles. Thankfully, the QOL features are a fantastic way of making sure that any newcomer will see the endings to all three of these games if they keep throwing themselves at the game, and more diehard fans have the option of playing these in the original fashion if need be.

Overall this is a great remake of three wonderfully animated and enjoyable games, just don’t expect that you are going to get hours and hours of enjoyment out of them, it is likely to be a little shortlived.

Dragon’s Lair Trilogy is an excellent collection of some the very best arcade games ever made. Sure, the games are a bit of a challenge. You may even get overwhelmed with frustration and walk away from them! However, they are so addictive and charming that you’ll persevere and get past the part you were struggling with and before too long, conquer the adventure. The love put into the projects is just as obvious as it was 36 years ago! Having the chance to replay these classic arcade games was a great blast to the past. If you’ve never experienced these amazing adventures then check out the collection today.

GREAT - Dragon’s Lair Trilogy is a collection of beautifully animated arcade classics that stand the test of time. They were great back in the day, and they play great on the Nintendo Switch. Everything from the classic arcade games has been preserved in the trilogy collection, and it even has some extra features, customizable options, and deleted scenes not used in the arcade versions.

Granted, by today’s standards Dragons Lair may even be considered as a pretty awful game in every angle outside its drop-dead gorgeous Disney-flavoured smut. However, Dragon’s Lair Trilogy is another important slice of gaming history and one that can now be added to the growing museum on the Nintendo Switch.
