While its current value is questionable, Reaper of Souls will most likely maintain a higher value than most games over the long run. And if Diablo III has as long of a life as its predecessor, then the few extra dollars spent now will have been a wise investment.

First major expansion for Blizzard's popular dungeon crawler adds a new act, a new end-game mode, and significantly tweaks critical game systems.

Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls is a solid expansion building upon a patch that was brought about from player input. Blizzard listened to complaints, and moved to rectify issues, not just remove them, while mixing in an impressive amount of new material. It's more than enough to entice veteran players to return, and if you have never played Diablo 3, there has never been a better time to start.

The story is lacking, but great environments, a new class, and more freedom—partially from the free patch—make for a better Diablo III.

Diablo III: Reaper of Souls aims to provide fun and ultimately manages it quite well. The flexible skill system opens way for experimentation. The addition of the Crusader adds some extra bulkiness to the class roster.

Diablo III: Reaper of Souls features some dark themes and extreme gore and violence. However, folks who venture into Sanctuary will enjoy one of the most well-polished action-RPGs on consoles to date.

Pre loot 2.0 Diablo 3 was grindy with the temptation of the gold auction house to remove the need to even play the game. The pre-patch to Reaper of Souls known as Loot 2.0 gave everyone the Diablo 3 it should have been 2 years ago and Reaper of Souls truly is the icing on the cake and well worth the 35 Euros/40 Dollars many times over for the hours you can spend inside this beautiful dungeon crawler!

This is the meat and potatoes of Reaper of Souls. Act V to me feels longer than the dreaded Act II. I literally spent 16 hours of uninterrupted game time completing the new story. It's very rewarding to those who, like me, have to search every nook and cranny. There are a lot of dungeons and events placed in far out places.

Everything about Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls leaves me wanting to more, despite the fact that I've already cleared the campaign on multiple occasions, and I wouldn't be shocked if I've got a full roster of level 70 characters by the time the year comes to a close. It's been a long time since I enjoyed a hack-and-slash title as much as I'm enjoying Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls, and I plan to milk that for all it's worth. I suggest you do the same.

Anyway, away with such idle talk. The promise of riches and delicious loot hangs in the air.

Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls is a great expansion for the core game, adding just enough new things to justify its rather expensive price. If you're only interested in story or new classes, however, you might not be happy with what you get, so just stick to Diablo 3 after patch 2.0.1, which is quite a great RPG on its own.

Reaper of Souls will feel like a brand new game. Right from the get go, it is clear that Blizzard has taken what they have learned and addressed what people were upset about.

I am sure Blizzard will find ways to improve the new systems even more in future patches, but as it stands now they're small issues that hurt the experience just a small bit. In reality, there is nothing to fear, this is a great addition to the game and we are looking forward to seeing how Blizzard will move on with the universe in Diablo III. As for now, I don't know why you're still reading this, go get the expansion and begin your epic loot hunts in Adventure Modes.

With a really good Act V, an awesome new area, new skills for every class, the addition of the Crusader, the Mystic, and entirely new modes to play that changes the way to get loot, Diablo 3 is finally the game we all hoped it would be.

Does Reaper of Souls justify its asking price of a full game? If it only presented itself with Act V then no, but the inclusion of an all-new-ish character class and Adventure Mode does soothe the sting. Reaper of Souls, in conjunction with the Loot 2.0 patch, finally brings us the Diablo III we want and that fans deserve.

All in all, Reaper of Souls has made a number of huge leaps forward for the Diablo franchise, introducing a new level of random generation that isn't entirely intrusive in the form of Rifts. As well as restoring purpose for your farming escapades from Bounties, the game has newfound freedom. Adventure Mode is a very welcome improvement; the monster hunting experience enthralls and compels, thanks to loot changes and class rebalancing.

It's not enough to bring back people who didn't like the skill tree implementation, but for fans who grew a little tired of the end game, they will be happy to know that the evolution of Diablo III has moved in the right direction, and with an endless randomly generated mode that will keep fans hooked for hours upon hours until the next expansion hits, Reaper of Souls is a must own for fans of Diablo III.

Diablo III Reaper of Souls boasts great graphics, sturdy gameplay and a very interesting story that will have both veterans and newcomers of Diablo III entertained and busy for months to come. With the possibility of reaching level 70 and the inclusion of fixes, tweaks and a new character, I for one cannot wait to get back into this game again because it's been far too long between drinks.

While not quite able to beat the PC, this is by far the definitive console dungeon crawler.

If you have no issues running Bounties and Rifts for the foreseeable future, the inclusion of Rifits and the new difficulty system will keep players busy for quite some time. There has definitely been a large spike in the player base for Diablo III since the release of the Reaper of Souls expansion, but the true test for Blizzard will be if they will stick around after the couple of hours it takes to get through all of the new content.
