DJMax Respect is an excellent package for rhythm game fans to pick up, regardless of having played the series before or not.

DJMax Respect is getting very close to being my favourite rhythm game on PS4 with its eclectic song selection and fantastic design.

Although I came in rusty, DJMax Respect beckoned me to keep my fingers dancing and to further one-up myself. The more I did that the more fun it became, and I'm looking forward to enjoying all of the DLC to come, and potentially, the full-on resurrection of DJMax in the west.

DJMax Respect continues in the series' tradition of offering a challenging rhythm game that is packed with content. Seeing a lot of classic songs from earlier games on the big screen is sure to please many fans. Still, people who have never tried the franchise will likely feel a bit overwhelmed, because there is not much in the way of help for those who are getting their feet wet in the DJMax series. Progression in the Missions mode will remain slow for those players, unless they have the intuition to practice songs in the arcade mode. DJMax Respect is the culmination of over a decade of rhythm action, and deserves a look for series and genre fans.

With a high spike in difficulty that demands respect and practice to scale over, DJMax Respect is a journey that will take you through the last dozen years of Korean rhythm games with a roster of many of the series' greatest hits.

Press X to pay your respect to one of the greatest, if not the best, rhythm game on PS4. The DJ Max series is back with more than 140 tunes to rock your living room. The only thing that can be bothering is the use of analog sticks during a few tracks, but who cares when you are having such a blast 99% of the time? If you like (very) good rhythm game and music, this one is a must-have.

DJMax Respect is easily the hardest music game I've ever played but is also the most jam-packed with songs right on the disc and plenty of content to unlock. While it doesn't feature household named like Aerosmith or other lesser rock bands, it has a little something for everyone.

A really hard and engaging rhythm game that pays homage to whole DJMax series. Changing handhelds for big consoles was done perfectly.

Despite the shortcomings, DJMax Respect is a fantastic game at an amazing price. With over a hundred songs for $50~ and more coming in the future, it's an absolute must for anyone interested in the genre and/or games of the like. Sure, the difficulty can be overwhelming at times and it sucks certain things might take a long time to unlock but there is enough content elsewhere to keep you busy, with the additional stuff giving players something to work towards.

DJMax Respect has a steep learning curve, but it provides a rewarding experience with tons of content. Those willing to cut their teeth will find a rhythm game that can easily hang with the greats of the genre.

One of the greatest examples of sheer precision in rhythm game design, and, let's face it, there's nothing more important to a rhythm game than that.

DJMax Respect is an excellent rhythm game with a great quantity and variety of songs added to a simple, addictive and very challenging gameplay. It's a mandatory title for those who love rhythm games and it should have a list of songs that might please everyone.

For me DJMax Respect feels like the elite club that’s always full on Friday night with a long line at the entrance. If you’re dedicated to improving yourself and work hard and diligently you can finally get in and enjoy it with the elite, but the road to get there is just as fun, so it’s worth taking the challenge if Rhythm games are your thing.

This game is brutally difficult and wants to watch you suffer through over 100 different songs.

Aside from a handful of “eh” songs and the seemingly frivolous Arcade mode, I’d almost go so far as to call this the perfect rhythm game for home console.

DJMax Respect is an amazing package not only for old school fans of the game, but also for people who love rhythm games. It provides a challenge that can push your limits all while keeping the game fun and exciting regardless of skill.

DJ MAX Respect is nothing short of bliss for series fans old and new. A gorgeous interface, a massive selection of classic tracks with inspired new music, and enough content to keep players busy for untold hours. Apart from minor graphical nitpicks, DJ MAX's Respect biggest flaw is that it could make the PSP versions feel obsolete by comparison.
