Wartile is a strategy game that, despite looking and sounding fantastic, suffers from repetitive gameplay and lack of satisfying challenge.

If you're looking for a friendly entry into the genre that has more than enough content for the asking price, and with updates to come, this title is for you. Just keep in mind it won't hold players who are looking for the challenge strategy games usually offer.

Despite some camera issues and a low longevity, Wartile is an enjoyable game and a perfect mix between two worlds: RTS and board games. Even if you love just one of them, you should give it a chance.

Wartile is a unique concept that doesn't get tackled very often. The tabletop set pieces are a treat to look at while the character figures could use some extra polish. Variety also seems to be lacking, but gameplay is simple and engaging. Wartile is a concept that begs to be expanded into other genres beyond Norse Mythology.

Wartile may not have a great story to tell, extensive customization options or a long campaign, but its visual presentation and layered strategic combat make it worthwhile. It has a solid core of ideas - some even exceptional - but it could have been taken further in many ways to make it something really great.

Wartile takes on the familiar Viking setting and mixes it with classic tabletop and strategy mechanics. It’s got an intuitive system that doesn’t get complicated over time, and a solid loot setup. Even if you’re not a big fan of tactical games, Wartile is worth a spin.
