The Mooseman Reviews
The Mooseman is a thought-provoking insight into the myths of old, with flourishing environments, entrancing soundtracks and visually stunning set design, The Mooseman is a trip into the past that you don’t want to miss.
If you are a lover of the arts and really enjoy the different mythologies from around the world then you definitely owe it to yourself to experience The Mooseman. One of the draws this game had with me was the artistic approach and covering a subject matter I knew little about going in. While not a truly heavy "gameplay" component is in the game, it makes up for with the story telling through lore and collectibles. The art style is also something to behold as it truly feels that you are experiencing the telling of Russian Perm tribes.
The Mooseman is a game which you can not afford to miss if you are into long forgotten gods and spirits, ancient myths and some weird history.
The Mooseman is a different and new experience in the world of video games. The great atmosphere of the game, drown us for several hours in Russian old stories and myths. Music, sound, art style and visual design are all masterpieces. Perhaps, if the game was a bit longer and the gameplay had more elements and features, the final value of the game would be more, but yet, The Mooseman is highly recommended to people who are interested in puzzle adventure games with unique atmosphere, amazing art style and also ancient myths.

The Mooseman doesn’t require much interaction, but its atmosphere, art and music kept me engaged enough to finish it in one sitting.
While not really considered a game per traditional sense, The Mooseman is still a great educational experience that will introduce you to the myth of the ancient Chud tribes.
The Mooseman is a unique, significant, and often beautiful indie game that proves there's room in the video game space for all kinds of different experiences. There's every chance you won't have heard of the Perm region of Russia or its pagan mythology, but this is a game that places you within its traditions and iconography with sympathetic artistry.
Overall, The Mooseman is a wonderfully crafted adventure puzzle game that has stunning music and visuals. It's apparent that Morteshka put a lot of research, time, and care into the game. While it may seem too short to some, I feel that it is the perfect length to explore these myths of old. I found The Mooseman to be a work of art and an ingenious way to explore a tale that was woven in perfectly with the game's different puzzles.
The Mooseman is an interesting experience for patient players. It doesn't pose a challenge, but offers a chance to learn about another culture's mythology – and all of this with really great soundtrack.

Short, minimalist and endearing game
Focusing on its strengths makes a huge difference, as it turns out, and there are a handful of miscellaneous elements that only serve to elevate it further despite one or two minor issues that take a little getting used to. Overall, The Mooseman is a great experience that’s artsy without coming across as pretentious, unfamiliar without becoming overcomplicated and confusing the player, and easy to pick up without sacrificing a number of optional challenges for those looking to obsess over hidden collectibles.
At only 7 dollars, The Mooseman can be a very entertaining experience, specially if you are a fan of Limbo or Inside.

The Mooseman feels like a set of cave paintings that have come to life
The Mooseman was a beautiful adventure that gave me an appreciation for a culture I had never been aware of before. The art and story told through The Mooseman kept me extremely engaged for my relatively short time with the game. Overall, The Mooseman is a game that offers a fun puzzle mechanic wrapped in a pleasing package.
When reviewing things that are less "games" in the sense you'd normally think of them, and that focus more on ambiance or storytelling, it's always a bit of a challenge...
The Mooseman tells of Komi people and their mythology. It's surprisingly good 2D platformer that should be treated as a history lesson rather than a game.

The Mooseman is a game that feels like it accomplishes what it sets out to do, for the most part.
If you are a person interested in history and mythology, you will find good entertainment in The Mooseman, as the purpose of the game is to pay homage and spread throughout the world the interesting folklore present in the Russian Indian tribes. It is admirable all the affection and effort put by the developers to create such a work of art. Despite this, its poor gameplay, lack of challenge and short duration certainly can ward off casual players.

A unique and artful celebration of Russian folklore.
Following the trail of Never Alone , Morteshka offer us the possibility of discovering the myths of the Peri Krai, one of the last tribes of the Urals. We are facing a short proposal only suitable for those who intend to relax and get away from stress, learn a new mythology outside our immediate environment and want to enjoy a truly unique audiovisual section. Undoubtedly, for all those who want to try something different, slow pace and with a perfectly achieved atmosphere, The Mooseman appears as an interesting work that fulfills the maxim of teaching delighting.
