Sid Meier's Civilization VI - Console Edition Reviews
A brilliant port and a brilliant game. There aren't any real issues with the game whatsoever and nothing that would put you off purchasing it. If you are a fan of the series or even interested in the Civilization series, it is a must buy!
A great port of a great game. Civilization VI offers so much to do, and with two expansion packs bundled in, now is the perfect time to experience it on a console.
Civilization VI is a rock solid port that keeps the game's strengths – and flaws – intact for consoles.
The Switch version of Civilization VI is an impressively similar experience to the PC version, for better and for worse.
Civilization VI on Switch is my favourite way to play.
It's Civilzation on Nintendo Switch in all its glory. It's full featured, plays great with the Switch control schemes and is addictive as ever.
Civilization is finally back on consoles and boy is it still bloody fun to play. With plenty of new systems to get your head around, some fairly intuitive controls and the ability to wage war on your neighbours because they look at you funny, who can possibly say no to that?
If you think Civilization peaked at IV, the sixth entry won't change your mind, but we envy anyone who's never played the series – Civilization VI on Switch is a brilliant introduction.
The perfect RTS game on the go, Civilization 6 feels at home on the switch.

The turn-based strategy game Civilization VI finally made it to Switch, coming with a mostly accessible control scheme for those new to the series.
A very good port. If you don't have a PC and want to discover Civilization VI, head straight to this Switch version. The game is nearly identical, except it doesn't include the Rise and Fall extension nor the multiplayer mode. For the rest, it is the same game, the same pleasure that you can carry wherever you want. You will just have to be patient at the end of a game, because each turn will last quite a long time.

Absolutely recommended both to those who want to go back to rewriting the destiny of humanity with a pad in their hands and to beginners who wish to approach one of the most important fragments of gaming history ever.

Epic journey through time with very well-meshed elements - a great round strategy game despite weak AI!

Perhaps the greatest triumph for Civilization VI on PlayStation is that it is the full, uncut, and immersive Civilization experience PC players have been enjoying for decades perfectly translated to console. A challenging, but welcoming strategy title that is either the perfect entry point for new players, or the single best reason for long-time fans who have transitioned to a more couch-based gaming lifestyle to jump back in.
It's Civilization VI on Nintendo Switch, virtually spotless and capable of running even better than it usually does on certain unhinged laptops. Of course, she sucks the battery like a vampire, and in the most complex games she can trudge like an old woman uphill, but having it in her pocket is an emotion that is renewed with every turn.

The good work they have done with the game's controls is appreciated, one of the critical points in adapting to a controller a control as complex and with as many options as the one offered with a keyboard and mouse. Saved this point, we only have the part of enjoying a strategy game, complete, fun and highly addictive.

In general, the port of the best PC game of 2016 turned out to be good, but technically weak compared to the original version. However, the gameplay is not simplified, and this is very important. Civilization VI is an ideal strategy game for playing on the go, wherever you are. We hope that developers will release a patch with visual upgrade and multiplayer mode.

A blend of touchscreen controls and physical buttons makes this one of the most convenient ways to play Civilization VI, and the portability makes it the best version to play on the go. Recommended to everyone who's looking to build a nation or take over the world.
Civilization VI is an excellent strategy game that offers numerous ways to play, and all of them are viable options. You can lead a peaceful nation or a war-mongering empire and still have an engrossing and rewarding experience like few others on PS4. Excessive load times, grating music, and some occasionally irksome controls are the only real downsides to what is otherwise the system's best strategy game, and a title that strategy fans can scarcely afford to skip.
Basically, if you enjoy 4X games or are a Civilization fan, you have to pick this up. But you didn’t need me to tell you that. It’s already on your list and Sid Meier’s Civilization VI is already in the download queue. If it’s not, you’ve got time right now to remedy that.
