Rage 2 Reviews
Rage 2 is presented as a wild ride through a post-apocalyptic playground, with people invited to attend a festival of blood, guts, and spray paint. Wacky characters and bright colors adorn the box art and marketing materials, but the reality of the game is much less colorful.
The best FPS of the year, but not the best open-world game
RAGE 2 is an accomplished first person shooter, but a bland and disappointing open world experience.
RAGE 2 is a frantic, mad and satisfying fps, with tons of possibilities to play and kill enemies and a very rich endgame.

Rage 2 takes Doom-like gunplay and puts in just another dull open world game that doesn't do anything particularly memorable.
Rage 2 is a great game for the right reasons. If you're looking for a game with a phenomenal story, you're in the wrong place. The story is boring to me, and rather short at 13 hours of leisurely gameplay. At the very least it doesn't drop off the planet like Rage did. Gameplay is fun, and vehicle combat works well, giving you an open world Mad Max-esque experience that is simply enjoyable and hard to put down.
After many hours of fun, I can’t wait to get back to RAGE 2.
RAGE 2 lives up to his name by mildly enraging the player - like Icarus, it comes so close to being great and then fumbles on the basics. There are some good ideas here, they just needed more direction and polish. It's not a "bad" game, not by any means, but it's not "good" either, it just "is". It sits in that mid-point where games that are "kinda fun" reside. Should you buy it? Sure. When it's on sale and you're itching for a shooter.
Going into release I was actually pretty hyped for this game. An over-the-top shooter with goofy weapons and powers sounded like something right up my alley, but what we got is yet another forgettable entry in the Rage franchise. It does nothing to warrant being brought back from the dead, so I have to ask Bethesda, why bother? Maybe some things are best left in the past.
RAGE 2 has the ability to overpay its flaws with a heart attack action and tremendously well executed.

Rage 2's Gameplay is incredibly fun and fluid. The vehicle combat and story are the biggest let down, as well as an empty open world.
RAGE 2 provides one of the best first-person combat systems in an open world that you can only enjoy it while killing and destroying enemies and upgrading the fascinating abilities. A game that with all of its flaws, every FPS fan should experience

It's a game that's definitely worth playing, but it could have been so much better than it really is. For all the vibrant pink and yellow, it's the game equivalent of beige.
RAGE 2 offers an incredibly stylish and pleasing combat system with a variety of weapons and skills, but the open world traversal and a disappointing story make it a less than stellar experience.
RAGE 2 has an amazing battle system, but it gives the player few opportunities to properly use it. The open world and its elements aren't well used and, in the worst cases, prevent the game to show its true potential.

All in all, Rage 2 is a good way to pass the time, especially since this summer is going to be a long one and there aren't major releases planned. The story itself can be finished quickly if you ignore the sidequests, but if you want to do everything, you're going to spend at least double that.
RAGE 2 held plenty of potential, but even considering how great the combat is, falls well short of that goal. The sequel is hampered by the same issues that cropped up in the original. The campaign is a non-factor and the open-world needed more life in it. Third time's the charm?
Rage 2's style of offensive play initially drives you to progress but its tedious world thwarts your enjoyment.

Great gunplay can't salvage an empty world, shoddy writing, and multiple wasted opportunities.
Rage 2 might be fun for newcomers or fans of crazy shooters, but it certainly dissapoints the fans of the original Rage.
