Viewed in context, there’s plenty of fun to be had here for fans of the show.
The Grand Tour Game doesn't deliver what's needed as an interactive experience and makes you long to watch the show without the irritation of anything else. As an experiment, it provides Amazon with plenty of useful results, all of which indicate something very different is needed to combine TV and gaming media.
The Grand Tour Game delivers the streamed series, fitted with some small elements of gameplay.
The Grand Tour Game isn't wonderfully exhilarating and there's a lot holding it back, but it does have brief moments in which it is fun.
Fans of Amazons The Grand Tour Show will enjoy The Grand Tour The Game. The concept of watching and Playing the Episodes is pretty good. Graphics and Gameplay are not state of the art. Fans of pure Motorsport-Games/ Simulations don't have to pit in for this game, it might be too casual for them.

Polygonal models aside, it really seems to have in hand a low-budget mobile game, devoid of inventiveness and poor both in terms of content and conceptual.

You can skip through the video elements, using R1 for the ‘Clarkson button' and L1 for the ‘James May button'. When you press either, you can hear a little catchphrase from each presenter. So, if you are skipping forward, Clarkson portentously shouts “Come on” or “Hurry up”, whereas while rewinding, May proclaims “Now, wait a minute”. A little nod to each on-show persona. If you've not seen episodes of The Grand Tour, especially if you don't have Amazon Prime, this is a great way to watch the highlights.
As a game, there is no getting away from the fact that this is just an extremely basic arcade racer which pales alongside some of the bigger and better-known racing franchises. But as a way of delivering new and episodic game content, and merging TV and video games, it is quite innovative and really works.
The actual interactive component of The Grand Tour Game is really quite poor, with awful handling and dated presentation making the races and challenges vastly inferior to the segments they attempt to replace, in between clips from the show you've already seen.
To be honest, I quite liked Grand Tour Video Game at first, it seemed like quite a novel idea and to begin with it was quite fun, however, the novelty soon wears off and becomes more monotonous.
