Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Reviews
Another Call of Duty that doesn’t really change anyone’s mind about Call of Duty. Whatever’s there that I thought might actually be making a leap was seemingly just good marketing. In that sense, I suppose, it’s been pretty successful. [OpenCritic note: Jeremy Peel and Sherif Saad separately reviewed the campaign (4/5) and multiplayer (3/5). The scores have been averaged.]
Not everyone will appreciate the new approach to PvP and the return of the Spec-Ops is a little disappointing, but otherwise Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is still a great shooter.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare reboots the franchise with solid success throughout.
As pure entertainment, Modern Warfare is well-crafted, but as a game that professes to reveal the harsh realities of war it has surprisingly little to say. New multiplayer modes help keep things fresh, but Special Ops feels unnecessarily punishing.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's campaign is more throwaway blockbuster than challenging look at conflict, but its mission variety makes for an enjoyable few hours. And even with the disappointing Spec Ops, a wealth of entertaining multiplayer modes makes this a worthwhile addition to any Call of Duty fan's collection.
To say that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is provocative is an understatement. It makes you think about a lot of things, including how much violence a video game should have.
Infinity Ward's new campaign effectively conveys both the existent horrors and strange exhilaration of war
Though it probably won't win new fans, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is a polished dose of more of the same high-octane FPS action that series loyalists have come to expect.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare hearkens back to the series roots, once again putting gritty themes and realism on the forefront.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's campaign and multiplayer are so good that players will be able to overlook most of its shortcomings.
Modern Warfare is an excellent addition to the Call of Duty franchise. The story felt like a serialized TV show, and most of the multiplayer action is fun. There are few places where the game falls, but not enough for me not to recommend it.
There are pulpy thrills, cinematic visuals and heart-stopping gameplay to enjoy here – so long as you can stand the rewriting of history and cheerleading for US militarism
In the run-up to the release of this confident rework of Call of Duty:
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare does everything fans of the franchise could ever want.
The plot of new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2019 is rather idiotic, than Russophobic as some representatives of the domestic press could present it. Infinity Ward in pursuit of hype crosses fragile boundaries, hoping to create additional excitement around the product, but for all this set of stamps and provocations in front of you is still the same scripted attraction, which is not much different from the films of Michael Bay or student booze with stolen alcohol. You get your shot of adrenaline and the next day you will not remember what was there. In turn, our detailed review of the multiplayer expect later.

This is a stunning return to form for a franchise that many people were just about ready to write off. By being big and bold with the return of its most successful tentpole, Activision has given a new lease of life to the shooter.
Multiplayer of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2019 pleases with more conscious and thoughtful gameplay. The weapon feels much better than in the previous games, and the maps are pleasing elaboration and a high degree of detail. With regular updates and new sets of locations, the interest of players can be maintained for a long time.
