Concrete Genie Reviews
Concrete Genie can be summed up in just one word: charming. It may not be game of the year material, but it does provide an experience that players will look back at fondly.
It is fun to bring your paintings to life and use them to save small fishing town of Denska. Just try it.

Alas, Concrete Genie is far less than the sum of its parts. A strong early game is lost by a bizarre late-game twist that undoes a lot of the charm. If it had just focused on the genies or had been about combat from the start, Concrete Genie would be a much more cohesive experience. Instead, the game has a lot of good moments but ends on a particularly dissatisfying note. There's still a lot to enjoy, but the flaws stand out as brightly as the strengths.
It is clear that PixelOpus believes a lot in his project and that it was born out of sacrifice, dedication and love for art. Unfortunately, Concrete Genie is far from reaching the heights that so much effort would deserve and seems to be destined to pass unoticed. With that said, it has the potential to touch the heart of those who love drawing more than anything else.

Concrete Genie is a charming and wholesome adventure that makes up for its rather ordinary gameplay with striking art and personable creatures.
Pixelopus' effort and dedication to create a project as ambitious and reflective as Concrete Genie, highlight the true potential of this small studio within Sony. It is certainly an experience that will please everyone, regardless of age, thanks to its captivating story, and its enjoyable gameplay, that encourages our creativity. Even with its short duration, it's a great title and a nice addition to the PlayStation 4 exclusive games list.

Concrete Genie is one of the most imaginative games ever created.
I had a great time with Concrete Genie, while it’s scale and length isn’t as large as other Sony titles, it offers a well paced story, enjoyable characters and ways to flex your creative side even if you have no real-world artistic skill. Those with PSVR headsets will also enjoy it’s first person painting modes that offer a place to peacefully create art. It has a few issues that can likely be fixed up in future patches but for the most part Concrete Genie is a really enjoyable ride and has me hoping to see more titles of this size and scale from Sony in the future.
Concrete Genie leaves you begging for more in an experience that's short and sweet. Even though the game isn't challenging it feels great to play as you let your imagination run wild. With a charming story and great characters to boot you should definitely be playing this if you don't mind the short runtime.

Concrete Genie is an excellent example of the whole being greater than the sum of its parts. It's not groundbreaking, or really exemplary in any single measure, but everything comes together in a way many games don't. It's charming, wholesome, and a complete realization of an original vision. It's a perfect palette-cleanser experience, and more importantly, it's wonderfully unique.
Despite its short playtime and lack of focus (in terms of combat being tacked onto the last hour of the game), I cannot deny that I had fun bringing my adorable Genie companions and paintings to life, which is what matters in the end.
Concrete Genie might go as one of the biggest surprises of the year. The lower price is just a bonus. Whatever amount of success this game finds, Concrete Genie deserves more.
Concrete Genie is an enjoyable title, very pleasant and with excellent ideas behind it. There are many possibilities for customizing the Genes and the most imaginative players will be able to create works of good thickness. If the plot had delved deeper into the main theme, if the gameplay had not been split in two so abruptly and if the longevity had been a little higher, Concrete Genie would have reached higher peaks, but the general experience remains satisfactory.

Concrete Genie is a heartwarming story about friendship and restoration, and is an absolute must-play.
Overall, the camera problems and frustrations were far and few between, and it shouldn’t be a problem for most people. If you are looking for a game to stump your mind with puzzles, don’t pick up this game. However, if you want a fun, relaxing, and creative experience with a lot of love put into it, go buy this game right now!
As an allegory, bringing light to personal or cultural darkness through art isn’t terribly original but it’s still relatively surprising for any game to have a wider subtext, and besides, Concrete Genie’s deepest pleasures are aesthetic.
Concrete Genie is quite simply a classic example of quality over quantity and aside from a few gripes with the final hour of the game, this is easily one of the best games of 2019. Not bad for a title that clocks in at around 5 hours. It’s a great showcase for how games can break free from conventional norms and illustrate an idea in a polished and clever manner. This is a game that personally resonated with me right the way through to the final scenes and one that’s absolutely worth its weight in gold. If you’re on the fence about this one, do yourself a favour and take the plunge. You’ll be thankful you did.
It's clear that its creators feel the love for creation that the game tries to communicate, but the end result is too irregular.

Concrete Genie is a welcome addition to the PlayStation family of games and stands out among its bigger action-oriented contemporaries.
An experience that values creation above all, Concrete Genie is a colourful spectacle and treat for the eyes and soul.
